Room decoration for birthday celebration

Does anyone know of any other options for having your room decorated for a birthday celebration? My daughter will turn 5 during our stay and I would love to have some presents and room decorations, but I am not crazy about the options offered through Disney Florist.

great question. My twins are turning 5 during our stay also. I was planning on somehow decorating the room while they slept and having the florist deliver baloons. but if there are other options I am up for suggestions.

We did the Mickey's Birthday Wish for my 4 yo's bday in March. I have to say, even though it is expensive, Disney Florist did a great job. I didn't want the package just like it is and had them switch some stuff around for me. They adjust the price accordingly. For instance, we didn't need another giant stuffed Mickey Mouse, so they let me sub a Capt Jack Mickey that I would've bought him anyway. Since we were arriving by car and were just traveling a short distance (we're just 3.5 hours away), they even let me deliver it the night we got there. We actually were going down to dinner and while perusing the pin kiosk, I noticed the delivery headed up to our room! They were right on time and very prompt.

I liked them so much, I'm going to order something else on our next trip! Probably the Star Wars balloon bouquet for Star Wars Weekend!

If you think Disney Florist is too much, try Memories by Betsy. Or else you could have We Go Shop or the Personal Disney Shopper put something together for you, or at the very least bring you things to decorate with in case you are flying and can't cart everything with you.

Also, if you like the banners and stuff from the Florist, some of the Disigners under Creative Disigns have recreated them. Worth a look! Although, I just checked and the lady that had all the Grand Welcome stuff is having trouble with her file sharing site. Hopefully it'll get fixed soon.

I ordered the Presenting Your Royal Princess Junior room celebration for my daughters sweet 16. It is pricey but my sister and mom chipped in for it as part of her birthday present. Honestly...the reaction was so worth the price.

I ordered the Junior package but had them switch the tiara from the adult package, it cost a little more but I wanted as much sparkle as possible. She wore the tiara and sash the next day on her birthday and got many compliments from CM's and Princesses Mix with a free pixie dusting from Bippity Boppity Boutique and it was perfect.

They did a terrific job with the room and everything was so perfect. Heres a few of the pics. (Things were set up MUCH nicer, I put things back together so I could get pics LOL)

My DS7 would love to stay in a themed room when we go to Disney but my absolute number 1 priority when going to Disney is to stay in an Epcot resort. Therefore themed rooms are not an option. I have compensated for that by buying Disney themed wall decals. These decals stick to the wall but will come off without damaging the wall. We put them up when we first get to the room and my son feels like he is staying in a themed room. We take then down when we leave and have used them over and over on our trips. If you are driving or are flying and have room in your luggage you might want to consider getting some decorations and just bringing them with you.

I know that WallPops offers a few different Disney-related wall decals for a good price. They are removable and easy-to-use, so I'm sure this would be a perfect option for your party. Best of luck!
