Does anybody know if there is someone other than Disney Floral that will decorate your room for a special occasion.

How do you propose them getting into your room if you are not there? They wouldn't be able to do anything until after you checked in.

Yes someone has to be there to decorate. I had a CM knock on my door one day and ask if we were related to the folks next door. CM was trying to get into their room to decorated and wondered inf the connecting door was open. We were not able to help them

I understand someone needs to get in the room. We used a company before and I gave them the key. They however no longer offer that service so I was just hoping there was another local company that offered such a service.

Are you able to do it as a quick DIY project?

I've decorated rooms twice for our DD. We've been several times for her birthday, since it falls nicely over fall break and during MNSSHP (which we enjoy!)

I packed tape and cute decorations from the party store in my luggage.
Once at Poly, I sent her and DH to the pool while I decorated the room.
Other time at POP, I sent DD and her friend to get snacks and bum around the gift shop for a bit.
It was inexpensive, and took very little time. DD was thrilled!!

Forget about using tape to decorate. Or sticky stuff. Or tacks or staples.

I can understand no tacks or staples. What's wrong with tape?
I've used tape both times that I decorated at WDW, and it was not a problem.
Housekeeping left the decorations up for our entire stay. I removed it all on check out day.

Tape leaves marks on the windows if you leave it on longer than an hour or two (especially if you get sun on the windows) and can remove the paint or finishes on the wood and walls.

Be that as it may, I used tape on two separate occasions without issue.
Housekeeping neither took the decorations down, nor did they leave a note saying that I was violating any rules or that the decorations should be removed.
That was my personal experience....

I did this twice as well and DD was thrilled. She had no idea I was the one who did it--thought it was Mickey and friends. I also shipped a box of presents down to the resort when it was her birthday and had them all wrapped up inside the box. I laid them out around the room for when she got back in with DH and she was so surprised.

Not saying you, but many people are not respectful with decoration supplies. Tape leaves behind residue and damages paint.

Most facilities we have rented from prohibit the use of it, but are usually ok with command strips. That’s what we use for our cabin (wood walls)...and twine/string.
