Room decor for celebrations

Need recommendations for having a room decorated or a gift in the room at time of arrival. Friend Staying at dolphin and wants to surprise hubby when they arrive in their room for his 50th bday.

I don't think any place (disney florist,etc) will decorate before you check in as they don't assign room number in time.

We celebrated DD b-day this past trip and when she went to bed the 1st night we decorated the room.

Pretty sure that disney florist will do it the 1st day but AFTER checkin.

I had a gift waiting for someone when they checked in but they were checking in late at night and it was able to be put in room. It was from Disney Florist and she was staying at a Disney hotel so that might have made a difference. You can also have it delivered the second day and it will be in room.

Unfortunately, the Dolphin is not a Disney resort, it is a Starwood Hotel.

To the OP, unfortunately the staff does not have time in their day to decorate rooms; plus the room number is not known until it is released out of inventory and available for occupancy. And these days of cutting costs to make a profit and satisfy stockholders does not allow them to perform services above their normal duties.

I would suggest contacting the Dolphin and asking them if there is any service available outside the hotel that could do something. Or might I suggest a surprise day at the spa; Mandarin Spa is lovely.

We've ordered gift baskets for years from : Memories By Betsy and while Disney CMs can't really deliver it to the room before you check in (think of how many people check in and decide to change rooms...etc) they will give it to you upon check in. Or you can tell them to deliver it once you've settled in to your room

This is another service that I just recently came across too, and it's more of a personal shopper service. BUT, she puts together some cute baskets too if you have something specific in mind. She may be able to deliver to the Swan and Dolphin too....I'm not sure if Betsy from Memories By Betsy can or not? WDW Personal Shopper
