I didn't realize that intrusive room checks even occurred at WDW Resort hotels. While your experience sounds just fine, has there been a rash of odd goings on?

Give a scan over the board and you'll see more than enough posts to see what's going on. Rather hard to miss actually

Maybe a bit of both. After the Vegas shooting apparently I know for a fact of at least one hotel that went away from do not disturb signs and have a mandatory room checks of at least once a day.

No, there is a requirement coming down on hotels that will hold them responsible for trafficking, or something. It's been posted here elsewhere. This is Disney's attempt at being proactive at putting something in place in related to this bill. The timing was close to the Vegas incident and it did seem connected but seems that it really is not
