Hi everyone... just a quick question... We are traveling with another family in November to a 2 bdrm savannah view villa and was wondering since we are two families in one villa can we each use our own cc when checking in to secure our charging privileges?

Think we might be able to use separate ones but just want to make sure. Never stayed in the same villa before. This should be intersting... HA! Thanks guys for all of your help.

We have done this twice with two different families. Both times staying in two bedroom villas. Yes, you can use your own cc. It is very important that when you check in both parties are present. The CM should repeat back to you who is authorized on what credit card to ensure accuracy. At the end of the stay, your itemized bill may be sent to you as an email but your friend's bill will go under the door. (I thought my bill was missing until I checked my email :) )

I'm not sure you can use 2 CCs (I assume one room) - we haven't tried it. But you can set it up so that their KTTW cards don't have charging priveleges, so they can just use their own CCs.

If 2 rooms, then each room can have your own CC.

Good to know! I still probably won't do it though. Hee.

We had this set up in 2011 and they assured us it was no problem but at the end of the week all the charges were made to one card. They didn't do it right even though they said they could. I have read others have success with this, but from now on we just make sure NO charging is allowed on the room key, and I just use the credit card itself instead. Good luck. They should be able to do it, but I'm wary because they messed it up with us.

We've done this a few times now. The key to making it work for the week is to go to the front desk after the first day of using the KTTW cards and make sure the correct charges are going to the right cards and if it isn't you can get everything fixed on the spot. Not checking will typically mean a long list of charges to separate at the end of the week.

I agree. The key of this working well is being very explicit. I literally ask the CM, 'On the card ending with XXXXX, you have Guest 1, guest 2, guest 3, etc...and on card XXXXX I have my friend go through the same process.

Thanks, I am so glad I asked. At least now I know to definitely have a conversation with my girlfriend in advance so that we can both continually check throughout our visit if we even decide to have charging privileges. You guys are always so helpful, so glad I am part of the club..

Thanks again!

Each room key and it's charges are codded separately and you can see which room key charged what. The charges are not transfered to your CC until you reach $1500 in charges or you check out. You can go to the Front Desk the night before check out, get a print out of all charges by room key and pay right then and there with different credit cards.

You can also do this anytime during your stay if you want, you don't have to wait until the end of the trip.
