Room charge ?, not sure if this is possible.

We are staying at the Contemporary in May and we are splitting the room with my mother. We always use the room charge and so does my mom. Is it possible to have her room card linked to her credit card and my husband and my key linked to our credit card?

I'm guessing it's one credit card per room but I thought I'd check to see if any of you have done this or tried this.

I did it a couple of weeks ago at the AKL. No problem with my room being on my card, and my friends' room (which was in my name) was on their card. Have a great time!

No, you can't have two credit cards linked to one room. I've tried to do this. -HM

It is one credit card per room, but each of you can still charge to the room and then charge to two cards at check out. Each room key with room-charging priviledges will be separately identified so you can tell who charged what. My advice is to go to the front desk the afternooon or evening before you check out and ask for a printout of the charges and take care of them at that time. The CM will allow you to "pay separately" for the room charges with two different credit cards.

It is true that if you are all in one room, it can't be done. But don't fret. There are other ways to handle this.

When you charge things on your room charge, each entry will indicate the card number (#1, #2, etc) that made the charge. Get a printout of your account from the front desk (daily if you want but at the very least on the night before your departure). Add up the charges made to card #1, then to card #2, etc. You can even split the cost of the room then when figuring the totals. Then you can go down to the front desk and charge the amount from all the Card #1 charges to (say) your credit card and the amount from all the Card #2 charges to you mother's credit card.

Disney will only take on credit card to secure the room charge per room but they will split up the payment of it any way you like. Just remember to do this BEFORE the last day of your stay or else they will have already run the express checkout amounts all on the credit card that secured the room.
