Room challenges - Will this work?

In this crazy times we had to change our travel date and are now going to WWD for Thanksgiving. We have a split stay between 5 nights AKV and 4 nights SSR. The challenge is I could not get 5 nights with a savanna view with a 2 bedroom. I have a combination of lock off 2br and 1br + studio. If my waitlist does not come through are they able to keep us in the same room or are we going to have to switch rooms? Has anyone does this?

Currently book as:
Nov 21st 2br lock off Savanna View
Nov 22nd – 26th 1br Savanna View
Nov 22nd -26th Studio Savanna View

Jambo or Kidani? The reason I ask is Jambo has some dedicated studios, which are not lockoffs.

Since you were able to get the 1 bedroom and studio but didn’t see the 2 bedroom it would seem to me it may be difficult.

Have you called to see if they could combine them? Maybe it was a glitch?

yes, they can only combine them is they are the same room type. If I had (2) 2br reservation they could make them one.

If Kidani has dedicated, then what you booked is more likely that For either the 1 bedroom or studio.

I don't think that Kidani has dedicated studios or 1BR's so it's strange it wasn't available as a lock-off. Maybe OP picked them up at separate times so they were never both available at the same time?

For example: if there is a Savannah view 1 bedroom currently available and you went into your studio reservation and tried to modify it might show that a 2 bedroom lock off was an option because your reservation would have the studio part available? Not sure if that would even work if it was available but you never know. The reason I thought this may work is because if you tried to modify that studio reservation and there was no studios currently available one would show available for you during your modification.

It's something worth checking out however I've modified BWV reservations before and never had the lock-off availability show when modifying a studio while there was 1BR availability. The system may not recognize that option unless you cancel the reservation.

That's nice it shows that option! As I mentioned I wasn't getting that with BWV.

The problem now is that it's a night in the middle and in order to modify for it you'd have to cancel all the other studio nights and as you fear the issue could be the waitlist or even somebody else just browsing at the exact time could pick up the cancelled nights before you could reclaim them. And you'd have to reclaim them in 2 transactions to get the first nights and the last which increases the chance that someone else might grab a night or two. A little safer might be to cancel the 1BR reservation you have and then go to modify the studio since it sounds like it would recognize the availability of a lock-off and 1BR's are not as popular as studios. But that still comes with a risk that you'd end up losing the 1BR before rebooking.

I walked the rooms one day at a time. It worked for everyday but the 22nd. Now I only have a studio for Sunday. Not sure what I can do other than wait and wait and see if I can get a 2br or 1br for that day

That's still quite awhile off and I think odds are decent you'll get one or the other.

You're getting there! I hope it ends up working out for you!! Good luck! We will be there as well. Thanksgiving is one of my favorite times to go! We have gone the last 3 or 4 years and we hope to keep the tradition going for years to come.
