Read on the "tips" thread a few days ago about some sort of necklace-holder that one might use when out on excursions, to then be hands free......

Can you tell me what it's called - more detail?

I heard you can get "it" at WalMart, but realized when I got there that I didn't really know where to find the "thingy"!!!! :o)

Experienced cruisers, please let me know!

I found mine at WalMart near the wallets. It's a lanyard with a see through bag to hold your KTTW card. Just scout around near the wallets and you should see it. The packaging was red and black.

These were a must last week on our cruise. We wore them constantly on the ship and it was easy to find in the rooms every morning. In fact I told my sister that for all my trips I won't leave home without one. Because you have to show your picture ID many times when flying these days it made it easy to find and show whenever required.

You can also find these in the fishing department for around $.97 at Wal-mart

I forgot to bring a lanyard (I have a few from trade shows, etc.), but after being on the cruise, I realize I would never have used it. I am not a big fan of advertising that I am a tourist and would have felt silly wearing my card around my neck. I found it very easy to just slip the card into my pocket or waist pack (if I had it with me). I guess (after reading this board) I assumed that I would need to access the card all the time on the ship. But, basically I left my room and didn't use it again until I had to go back into my room.
Just wanted to share my experience...

We're talking a 5 & 7 year old, who may be in the Kids Club, but will not be going ANYWHERE by themselves.......

Do they need them too?

or just DH & I????

Our kids never used their cards, except to get on and off the ship. I wouldn't get them one. When you are off the ship, you can slip theirs in your lanyard.

I actually bought one on the ship for use when I got home. We have our picture ID along with proximity cards that must be worn in full view while in our building, plus the card is used to access areas within the building.
The lanyard has the Disney Cruise logo all around it and it is well made and the clear plastic unattaches easily if you want it to.
I've already got orders from co-workers when I go next.
Hmmmmmmmmm if I sell enough maybe I could pay for my cruise. :)
Cheers,
Grumbo
