Is it possible to get 5 in a 4 person studio without any penalties?

I'm not talking adults. I told my DD that she could bring a friend, but it seems she is having a hard time deciding on which of her best friends to ask. I read somewhere about air mattess's but it wasn't stated if it was for more than the recommended capacity.

Your input is appreciated.

This is a a heavily debated question.......written rules are 4 + an infant for a studio or one bedroom. You may want to look back at previous threads regarding this issue.

Sometimes people bring an air mattress if there is a problem sharing beds - i.e, one girl and one boy in the family of four.

A studio has either two queen beds (OKW only) or one queen sized bed and a double pullout sleeper sofa (BWV, VWL & BCV. BCV 's sleeper might be queen sized. Not sure). There is only one bathroom.

As stated above, the max capacity of a studio is 4 persons plus a child under 3. A portable crib is provided for the little one. DVC does not provide rollaways, extra bedding or extra towels to accomodate more than the stated maximum. As far as I know, they don't do bed checks, either.

Maybe you just need to take two trips so DD can invite her other friend next time. (Just kidding. I can imagine how tough it is for her - my daughter was the same way). :)

Rules aside, I think you would be WAY uncomfortable with 5 in a studio. It's just not that big. Besides, if it's a daughter that wants to bring more than one friend, it's safe to assume you will have 3 young females to share ONE bathroom with?

Aaaaarrrgghhh!!

As mentioned, the stated occupancy is four plus a child under three. No extra bedding will be provided. Disney probably will not do a head count during the stay.
