Room Block Question

Hi Everyone,

I've already emailed my consultant, but I don't think she'll be able to get back to me until next week...

I have to turn in my room block to her soon, and I'm kind of confused. I have to guarantee a minimum of 25 nights, which is no problem...and we want to block off more than that. If we do choose to block off more, are we guaranteeing those nights as well? I didn't want to go completely overboard, but we also wanted to make sure we had enough rooms/nights blocked off. Should we just keep it at 25, or what?

Also, say we block off like 20 nights at the GF, 10 nights at Port Orleans, and 10 at All Star Movies....but the people who said they were going to stay at the All Star decided later to stay at Port Orleans...do I still need to guarantee those 10 nights at All Star?

Any help you guys could give me would be great...Thanks!

This is what they told me.
If all of my guests wanted to stay at the WL (which I only booked rooms for DF and I), when they call group reservations they will automatically be added into the block. The guests have no clue how many rooms are reserved at which resorts. As for the remaining unreserved blocked rooms, they will just be released from the block 30 days before the wedding. You only need to secure 25 nights, doesn't matter at which resort.

The number of guests attending the wedding will dictate how many room nights you need to guarantee. If the guarantee is 25 you can actually block 30 rooms. If you guarantee 30 nights you can block 36 rooms. You can always block more rooms than the guarantee...but the more you block the more rooms you need to guarantee. Did that make sense?

I blocked 24 rooms at the All Star Movies 3 rooms at Port Orleans and 3 at The Yacht Club. I only used 26 rooms at All Star Movies. As long as rooms are available you can go over the # of rooms you set aside. Also guests can book at any Disney Resort and be added to your room block. They will only receive the discount at the Resorts you block.

Hope that helps :)
