Room Block Question -- DDP?

For some reason I have it in my head that anyone who takes advantage of the discounted rates through the room blocks is not eligible to use the Dining Plan...does anyone know if this is true or not? It will make a big difference in how many rooms I block!

You are correct - the room block discount is room only. The DDP can only be added to Magic Your Way packages....

BUT...

The way my coordinator explained it to me, even if guests use a different discount, as long as you get their reservation #s, their reservations count toward the # of rooms you guaranteed for your room block anyway.

Exactly. Just keep in mind that those out-of-block rooms—while they will fulfill your room-night minimum—will not count toward the number needed to get a free night.

Thanks girls! I wasn't planning on getting or using the free night since we are using our DVC points for the entire trip, so I guess that is good news. It's a relief that I can still use everyone's reservations to count towards the minimum that we guarantee.

Another question girls!

Can you block DVC resorts? That's where my parents will be staying and where we will be getting ready the day of the wedding. I have a feeling some guests will want to stay there to be close to my parents. Can they take advantage of the discount there?

They can - but it is only 10% off I believe.
