Room/Bldg Requests? Accessible Studio at SSR -

Posted this on the disAbilities board but thought it might get an answer here:


First time coming up at SSR and first time getting accessible room for my Mother. Looking for any advise on what building/section to request.

We're in a H/Cap studio. We'll have a scooter, probably eat in the food court, maybe the sit down. DD and I will hit the main pool. We're more likely to drive to DTD but probably would do bus to parks. We'll get to the resort by noon for check in.

With that critera, what section and building would anyone recommend? Have seen a resort map on line but it's so small, can't tell what is what.

Also, would it be advisable to call reservations to confirm that we've got the accessible room and make building/section request?

I'd ask this question on the DVC board. There are many SSR owners there who can give better info I think.


I do advise to make request on your ressie before you go. Not alwasy can they be accomodated but you have a better chance


We're going to SSR Jun23 for our first time. I'm anxious to see it.
