Room at WL Nov 25-Dec 2 availible!

I just cancelled our WL room to stay at POFQ. We have had to many things come up this year that just seem to suck the cash right out the window! I just couldn't see spending the extra $1000 on a pretty place to sleep! Good Luck!

Oh say it ain't so! I remember reading some of your other posts and how excited you were to be staying at the WL. We're gonna be spending over $900.00 extra to stay at the WL next June. At first, I just couldn't justify the extra money but then I said what the heck.....we only go on vacation once a year. So, I've been scrimping and saving and scrimping and saving.

I'm sure you'll have a perfectly wonderful stay at Port Orleans. Just look at it this way......at least you'll be at WDW!

I know, I'm so bummed. I've had back problems so those bills are piling in(I don't know why we pay for insurance ) Car brake system needed replaced etc... so the cash flow just aint what it was. POFQ was our 2nd choice anyway so we were lucky to get it. We will go visit the WL, maybe we wont like it?!? Hope you get a discount somewhere along the way!

Maybe look into POR as the rustic theming is similar?Y'know...we are one of the minority that did not care for WL nearly as much as we thought we would, and we were there at Christmas with all the decorations! The rooms were dark to me,not that much larger than a mod and the Roaring forks food was not very tasty to us... we trucked over to Trails End for the pizza and chicken, now THAT was good! and enjoyed the petting zoo...but honestly, out all the resorts we have stayed ( ASMU,POP, CBR, CR, POLY, Dolphin) WL and CBR were our 2 least favorite. CBR theming was lovely, but the busses and insects were a deterent from a return visit. And while some love the boats, we were sort of not crazy about being in the cold December weather on them....I know that is not the resort per say, but it is the preffered MK route, so we were on it a lot. I think you will have a great time knowing that you are not stressing over the extra cash...I know that would totally derail me for a trip!

Thanks Pam, I do feel better. We went and looked at POFQ on our last trip and we really liked it. We were staying at the CBR and yes it was nice but we paid for a perfered room and still had to hike just to get around. We are marathon park goers so after a long day and packed bus ride we sure didn't feel like the long walk to our room. I love the fact thay POFQ is so small. And Beignets every day, who could ask for more????

I am a BIG WL fan and really don't want to stay anywhere else BUT our 2nd choice has always been the POFQ and we love it. I know you will enjoy it and have a great time. But also you may want to ask for a room close to the main building because the main building is right at the bus stop!

I asked for buildings 5 or 2. I hope to be near the pool and pool bar!!!

Tracy..You will enjoy the POFQ! I am staying in the CB for a night in December but would have rathered the FQ.

I just cancelled our WL room to stay at POFQ.

I can relate. I too just cancelled our WL room for 11/15 & 11/16. I was having trouble justifiying the extra cost as we're doing MVMCP 11/15 and I just didn't see being up there that much. With the new code out, I was able to get OKW studio for $165 per night and we were headed there to join my sister's family 11/17-11/23 anyways, so it just seemed to be the thing to do. We've stayed at POFQ and really enjoyed it-you'll have a great time
