Room at SSR.....special need

My mom just had knee surgery not to long ago and she cannot do stairs so well. Does SSR only do stairs? If so should I put in a request for a special room or special section? ( closer to food and pool )

Also to use the valet service at other resorts do you just have to show your membership card?

First trip using membership and kind of lost!

SSR does have elevators. If you are staying at SSR you really won't have a need to valet. You will park in the lot in front of your building. Did your mom get a temporary handicap parking pass at the time of her surgery? If not have your doctor fill out the paper work and take it to your DMV and she will get a hang tag to display. SSR has sufficient handicap parking. Request a room close to the parking lot. Susan

we just got back from SSR. There are elevators in every building. We stayed in a room right off the elevator - Congress Park 1623. It was very convenient and surprisingly quiet. Also, there are ground floor rooms that you can walk, or roll, right up to, without any stairs or elevators required.

Yes and the valet parking is free for all DVC members, just need to tip. If you have a handicap tag you can also use valet for free at non-DVC resorts.
