Room at GF through Travel Agency

So I have a room booked through a travel agency for the "special agency exclusive Labor day rate." Has anyone ever stayed at the GF or any other resort with that rate and been able to make room requests? I am assuming since it is a conference rate that they put you in a specific place but I wasn't sure.

I've read there are better areas at the GF to stay at but I've never been there so have no idea Thanks!

Yes. You can make room requests through your travel agent.

And they don't put you in a specific place. They assign based on category.

As long as the request is something that can be fulfilled within the room category you booked, go for it! Simply ask your TA to have it noted on your reservation. As others have said, you will be assigned a room based on category, not on a specific location at the resort.

We always request Room location thru our TA. The standard view rooms at GF are very nice. They are garden,pool or marina views. GF is a small resort and nothing is far away from main areas. I’d look at the resort map and decide where you’d like to be. Some like the marina side, personally I like to be looking out at the courtyard pool in either Big Pine or Boca Chica.

We had a special agent rate when we stayed at POR a few years ago. For us, we really wanted to be in the Bayou. We asked the agent to add that request and we received it at check in. If you are looking for a specific room number that may be an issue but that would be the case no matter what room rate you had.

Any Disney resort guest can make room requests, regardless of how they've booked or paid. The only difference is in who makes the request.

If you booked the room yourself (you called Disney or booked through their web site), you own the reservation and you make the request.

If you booked through a travel agent, the travel agent owns the reservation and the travel agent must make the request.
