Room assignments

I have a ressie for 2 standard rooms at the Dolphin. I have requested connecting rooms & newly renovated. I am a SPG member, no points though. I will be arriving early in the morning -- plane lands at 9:00. I'm sure the hotel is full (or near full) since there is "no rooms available" on the spg website. My main concern are the 2 requests that I have made; however, an upgrade (whatever that would be) would be great but I'm not counting on it. Does anyone know when rooms are assigned?

read somewhere 3 days in advance and not to call before hand because reservstions are not available until then. Good Luck
