Am I the only one who hasn't received their room assignment who booked as a Cat 6 guarantee? (or any guarantee) We are now at 60 days, and I have been paid in full for 30! I am tired of checking, and seeing no room number. I was just wondering if anyone else is still waiting, or how many of you have received your cabin #..............?????????????????? :sad2:

I was a Cat 9 guarentee but as soon as I made my final payment I had a cabin assignment. Have you called or just checked the website?

we have a cat 12 gty so we're almost definitely going to get upgraded *cross fingers* and we had paid in full since last year and we have yet to get our cabin assignment on the repo cruise. my wife called today and they said they don't usually do cabin assignments until the docs are sent out so 10-15 days before the cruise. we're gonna die of anticipation before then!

I just called, and got the same answer as the previous poster... :sad2: I guess I will just have to WAIT!!!!!! I guess it helps keep up the anticipation level, right?????? Oh well....... there's always packing lists, excursion planning........ chatting with you fine people.......

DCL's response is not necessarily accurate. We had stateroom 7119 until the day we were allowed to book our excursions etc and then decided to take the plunge and book gty 9. Our room was immediately given to a fell DISer who was a gty 11. I am still waiting for our new room assignment though.

Sometimes I just don't get the way they do things.... She did say that they didn't have a cabin for us yet...... What? They must at least have a cat 6 for us. It is frustrating, but, I will just try to be patient...... As long as I will have a space on the ship, I guess that's all that matters...... BUT, I STILL WANNA KNOW!!! :bounce:

We are on the 7/9/05 West Coast sailing and booked a Cat 6 guarantee. We paid in full about 3 months in advance and didn't receive our room assignment until about 7 weeks before sailing. I kept checking on-line and nothing, and kept calling, same answer. I did get a cat 6 though, no upgrades here.

We have a GTY 9 that has been paid in full for over a month. Like you I figured the sixty day mark would mean an assingment.

But as long as there is no number that means I have chance for a upgrade :wizard: (come on a girl can dream can't she? :earboy2: )

I too have been paid up for a while but no room # just yet.
I can only imagine that with all the savvy repeat cruisers who know all the detailed ins and outs, DCL must be a little fed up with answering so many requests and questions so far in advance. Maybe I'm wrong. Not that anyone is evil...just extremely excited in their anticipation...INCLUDING ME! :Pinkbounc :cool1: :cheer2: :bounce: :cheer2: :Pinkbounc :cool1: :bounce:

And I got stateroom 7119. It was quite some time after I had paid in full. I was a cat 11 gty. I am still keeping my fingers crossed for an upgrade.

We booked a Cat 9 a year ago for the Aug Repo and just paid up today. Still at GTY status.
This happened on our last cruise (with another line). Booked late and didn't have a cabin # until we got to the ship. No upgrade, either.
As long as we're on it when it sails I'll be happy.

we just booked last month as a cat. 9 guaranteed. We were told we would not have a cabin assignment until 2 weeks before we cruise and that we may be upgraded. I wish they would keep the upgrade thing a surprise though, because now I just keep dreaming of a cabin with a verandah!!

We have paid our Repo Cruise. What I don't understand is how some cruisers has room assignments number, I on the other hand must patiently wait or look at the website three times during the day. :rotfl: :rotfl:

Only DCL knows when they give out the cabin #'s. I booked on the first day and received my room # about 85 days out -- after I made some reservations. Booked a Cat 6 and got a Cat 6.

Is everyone stopping by our Bringing Home the Magic Thread on the cruise meets board -- and signed up for the newsletter.

I just checked (through DCL website) -- and our room number appears as the same one we selected online when booking the reservation back in May '04. Coordinating multiple cabins with family -- we were glad to be able to "hand pick" our cabins early on.

I booked for the 8/20 repo cruise directly with DCL the day the reservation sytem opened for this cruise. I was told by the cast member that I could not book a guaranteed cabin so an available cabin in the category I had asked for was allocated to me then and there.

I upgraded today via my TA who has taken over the reservation and the result was a guarantee cabin.
They were unable to allocate me a number.
Tried also booking on the web site. Only 5, 6, 8, 9. 10 and 11 were available.

We originally booked a Cat 9 Gty in May 2004. We were assigned a specific stateroom number in early May 2005. About two weeks ago, I upgraded to a Cat 6 Gty and still do not jave a stateroom assignment. I'm not worried, but I sure would like to know what stateroom we'll be in!! I'm hoping the longer it stays a Gty, the better the chance for them upgrading us to a Cat 5. :earsboy:

Those of you with GTY "assignments" might be getting upgrades. I'm pretty sure those of us with assigned rooms won't be moving (there will be less upgrades on this cruise than most others I'm afraid). Monday / Tuesday (June 20/21) there was availability in cats: 5,6, (not 7), 8, 9, 10 and 11. Today (Thursday 23) there is just availabilty in cats: 8, 9, 10 and 11 (and all of them are GTY!). Yea, I know that there has been sporadic availability over the past year in most categories, but now that we are finaly in the last 60 days (WooHoo  ) availability (and your room) is pretty much set.
