Room Assignment Question (WL)

We are a party of 2 and a baby. She's listed as 1 year old on the reservation. Any chance that WL will assign us a King room even though we're technically 3 people (or are we technically 2 ?)?

Also, let's say the grand poobah of room assignments has blessed us with a certain room before we check in, is that assignment flexible? Do they gladly change if you ask for something at check in and its available?

We have a standard room booked and there are no standard King rooms, so they won't even let us request a King room. I guess its like asking for an upgrade, and that's a no-no. So should we just mention the king request at check in?

i want to comment even though i have never been.. hehe...

i want a king bed which is on my "speical request" list and i also plan on asking at check in if we could have a room as close to the buses as we could without having to pay anything extra... then we'll see what happens!

Having worked Room assignment at WL I will tell you they are usually more than happy to give kings away if you ask for one and they have one avalabile. Most of the time at WL they are having to "Fill Kings" with parties that have not requested them because they are sold out or have very limited avalability. If you are a party of 2 and an infant you can still get a king bed because the child doesn't actually count into the party mix, a king with a pack n play/crib is acceptable. Just keep in mind that "most" (not all) king rooms at WL are Handicap accessible so they do not have a bathtub (which may be an issue with an infant), so at check in, if you want to ask if a king would be avalaible and the tub is an issue, ask if a king that would have a tub would be avalaible. Most of the time rooms are not pre-assigned (unless you have medical needs or are traveling with another party...or some other "room assignment" neccessity arises), but if it is they can usually move it around (not always) but it never hurts to ask
