room and/or package discounts in March?

I'm going to take my daughter for her 8th birthday in March, and obviously want to spend as little as possible. So far I'm considering booking directly, using a jetBlue getaway or maybe doing the entire package (including flight) via WDW. Also, a friend will be staying with us who is a FL passholder and can use her discount.
I want to save $$ on travel, room, etc. so that I can take her to BBB and a special lunch.
Any thoughts?

If you want to save money, take advantage of the AP discount that your friend can book. (Current discounts of up to 37% off rack rate run through March 22 and must be booked by the passholder by Jan. 1) It will be better than booking a package with your airline or by booking with Disney right now.

Then purchase your tickets through a discounter like Undercovertourist. This will also be cheaper than going through Disney.

Finally, check all of the airlines that fly out of your closest airports. When you find a price that you can live with, book it. Don't wait or waiver. Just book it and don't rethink it. Airfares fluctuate by the hour.

However, you are probably already aware that Easter falls in late March in 2013. That means that the last week in March will be a week of high attendance and few discounts on rooms and airfare. If you are traveling at that time, it's doubtful that there will be any AP room discounts.
