Hi All! We're in WDW now. It was so HOT in our room last night! Can someone refresh my memory on how to override the sensor on the air conditioning unit. It only comes on when the sensor "senses" movement in the room, so over night it gets SO hot! TIA!

I don't think the ones at BWV can be overridden - I think they are missing one of the buttons you are supposed to hold to get the override to come up. I would call maintenance on the room phone and ask them what to do. I don't recall my BWV getting overly warm at night, but BCV I definitely had issues, and I think the thermostats are the same.

That's one reason I always take a small fan to Disney - I can't stand to sleep in a warm room.

You need to push the power button & one of the arrow buttons (I forget if its up or down) at the same time to get it into bypass mode. "bp" should display on the readout.

It resets every 24hrs so you will have to do it every day.

... or you can call maintenance to have them do it.

...or you can buy a balloon & place it in the path of the sensor overnight.

Thanks for the info! I think we have it under control now! :) what would I do without the Dis! Lol

ready for the greatest tip ive ever recieved in my life....buy a filled balloon and keep it tied to a chair near the sensor of the AC unit and in the air flow. the movement of the ballon tricks the motion sensor into thinking someone is always in the room. it stays nice and cool :) Ive done this for a couple of trips now and it always works for me.
