It's going to be about 5-8 of of us girls heading to WDW and I am trying to figure out the best way to book our room accommodations as far as space etc..
2 studios
(1) 1 bedroom (if less people end up going)
(1) 2 bedroom

If you have had a large group which route did you go for rooms? Since I'm using my points I would like to use the less points possible which is the 2 studios, but then again it would be nice to have us all in one room together.

Another Q, if we did the 2 bedroom would I want the dedicated or lock off?

Need some input!!
Thanks!

Well hard to say, as much of it is personal choice.

With a two bedroom over two studios you are going to get the kitchen, living room, laundry, dining area and large master bedroom.

As to the dedicated depends on where you book you might get two queens in the second bedroom instead of a queen and sofa sleeper which can make a difference.

For me personally I always want more room.

If you are planning for AKV I would go with a 2 BR at Kidani since it will give you more sleeping options and an extra bathroom plus the kitchen, living room and laundry facilities. OKW two studios would give you a total of 4 queen beds and 2 baths. Other studios would give you a queen bed and a double sofa bed. I guess it depends on the group and how well you all get along. I would opt for more total living space. Also it depends on how many you think may decide to drop out- If you end up with only four then that throws a whole new light on the matter. I ended up one Christmas trip with 5 in a GV at OKW and we had a great time and everyone had their own bed without using the sofa bed and almost everyone had their own bath since there are 4 of them. It started out with 9 but plans changed due to job losses etc and it was too late to change to a smaller villa. If you end up with a 1BR try for one of the resorts that has two bathrooms in the one BRs. Have fun planning and hope you have a great trip.

I've done the 8 women in a 2BR and never again. If I had to do it again I'd be putting only 2 to a room or get a grand villa. There were a couple arguments and a couple of friendships damaged (and if anyone had asked me if this was a possibility, I would have said NO). Thankfully I didn't get pulled into any of the disagreements.

Remember, the pull out in the studio is a double so people really have to like each other!

I've gotten to the point, too, that I want my own bed so I plan for that.

Good Luck!

Unless you go with studios at OKW where you get queen beds in every studio, you are going to have to decide who gets the sleeper sofa, who gets the king sized bed, etc.

Thanks for the responses!

I'm waiting to hear back from the girls to see if we will use the kitchen or not. I will call MS and see what they have during our dates.

I'd book a 2 bedroom at OKW and KNOW that at least everyone will have a bed, no matter if it's 5 or 8.

If you have 6 to 8, I would go with a dedicated 2 bedroom at either AKV Kidani or BLT, that will give you 3 bathrooms. A 2 bedroom dedicated at OKW would be good because there is an extra bathroom sink in the second bedroom and an extra closet.

4 in a studio would be tight no matter where. I've done a studio at OKW with 4 and the only problem is the bathroom sink is not separate. I wouldn't put 2 adults on a sofabed.

I've done 4 in a 1 bedroom, one person brought an aerobed. So we had 2 in the king, 1 on the sofabed, 1 on the aerobed.

Ain't that the truth, you can know someone for years, but you truly don't know them until you travel with them.

I plan on one adult to a bed. The master may be different since it's a king. When we bring families down, we put one family to a room, if there are four in the family.

It's everybody's vacation and I wouldn't want to share a bed with a friend. Maybe when I was younger but not anymore.

Don't know how that thumbs down got there!
