Has anyone stayed in room 8580 or rooms in that area. We just got our travel docs and DH is concerned about elevator noise, the mickey pool and general seasickness. We usually stay right in the middle of the ship to avoid the motion.

Hi,

We just sayed in 5624, a Cat 6 cabin that is very far aft. I was a little concerned about being so far aft as well. However, I found it to be a wonderful location.

There was little hallway noise, as the only people who had reason to be that far back were folks with a cabin in the area. Also, it provided convenient access to BBB and the drink station on Deck 9. Of couse, we had to go up a few flights, but we didn't have to cross the whole ship to get there.

Hey GeneralMax!

I just realized you were from St. Paul. We live in Maple Grove! Brace yourself, as it sounds like Winter will arrive on Sunday! Is it cruise time yet?

We leave in a week and I cannot wait. It is cold out there. Although I must admit it has been a pretty mild winter by our standards up to now.

Yes, it has not been bad at all. :cool1:

Have a great time!

I just saw the thread about your surprise trip for your 15th. How wonderful. I think he cold weather here must give the men really warm hearts.

My first trip ever to WDW was on my honeymoo. I had never been so my husband took me to WDW and on the then Disney cruise. Not nearly as nice as the Magic. We have taken several weekend get aways to Orlando sans kids to celebrate. Although I must admit the first time we did this when my daughter was old enough to get it we lied about where we were going.

Have a great time on your cruise. :boat: If the weather sticks, I would say your timing is perfect. It was cooooold today!

It is fun to meet other Minnesotans on the ship. We met a nice couple and their DS5 from Eden Prairie. They had also moved to MN from San Diego (we moved here about 8 years ago). We compared notes. The winters are long, which is why we like to break them up with a trip to a warm weather destination.

Are you planning to do a trip report? I love reading those. . . living vicariously (sp?) I suppose.

Go Vikings! I hope they beat the Packers on 12/24 :cheer2:

We went last summer and stayed in Room 2128 ... It was a bit noisy because thats right above (I believe) either the rudders or the engine. I can't remember. But by the time I got in every night (2-3am) I was so tired I didn't care. The only thing that got annoying was everytime we were docking our WHOLE ROOM vibrated!!!!!! And made noise.
