Going on the Wonder in July for the first cruise ever. Family reunion. When we booked over a 18 months ago we were given room 8046, and the adjacent ones. Now i am hearing there are a lot of noise problems at night from the entertainment on the deck above us. Any info would be appreciated?

I got the below info from another thread:

We were in 8046 last week and loved it!

As you enter the suite, there's a 3-section closet with sliding doors on the right. Two sections are for hanging clothes (life jackets are on the shelf), and the third section is divided into shelves. On the left is a small bathroom with a sink, toilet, shower, and a few shelves. Our two teenagers used this one.

In the living room area, there's a wet bar with cupboards above the sink, and a mini-frig below the counter. There was room for a 12-pack of coke and 6-pack of beer, plus a little more in the refrigerator. Then there's a round table and 4 chairs, and some kind of cabinet (I'm furniture-challenged today -- can't think of the name!) with a couple of shelves; the boys kept their shorts, jeans, and t-shirts inside, and we stacked other stuff on top. Then there's a sleeper sofa, an upholstered chair, two end tables with drawers, and a coffee table just before you get to the verandah (love that verandah!). Across from the sofa are built in shelves and an entertainment center with large TV, VCR, and sound system (you can check out tapes and CDs from concierge; you'll find a list of what's available when you board). The lighted shelves have some bolted-down decorations (wouldn't want them to slide), a box of dominoes, and some books (childrens' classics like Alice in Wonderland, and a few others).

A double sliding glass door separates the living room area from the bedroom. NOTE: These doors will latch to prevent them from sliding due to ship movement, but they can be unlatched from either side; don't rely on these for total privacy!! The bedroom has a king-size bed, an upholstered chair and ottoman, two nightstands, another large TV, and more drawers with a mirror above, and another sliding glass door to the verandah.

In this stateroom, the pulldown bed is between the kingsize bed and the verandah; the chair & ottoman are moved into the living room at night. (In the Category 3's near the midship elevators, the pulldown bed is in the living room area. The accessible Cat. 3's in the aft section sleep 4, I believe, and have no pull-down bed.)

There's a built-in vanity with a chair (and 6 more drawers) across from a walk-in closet. The extra pillows/blankets for the sofa bed and pulldown bed are stored on the shelf during the day. The closet also has four deep drawers, and the safe. The bathroom starts with a double sink with cabinets and 3 small drawers across from a full-size whirlpool tub!. Then there's another section with the toilet and shower. There are no drawers in the shower!

Our steward, Praveen, kept each bathroom supplied with lots of fluffy towels. He left towel animals at least once a day -- how do they do that? -- and kept us supplied with ice. He always spoke when we saw him in the hall, and checked to see if we needed anything. He was great!

Eve and Laura (concierge) were teriffic, too. We knew ahead of time what we wanted to book, so we looked over the excursion list one last time, and called them a little after 2:00 on embarkation day to book Palo brunch and dinner, shore excursions, and spa treatments. FYI, Eve said they do reserve a block of spa treatments for concierge-level guests. Everything was just the way we requested.

One of the Magical Treasures boxes (Castaway Crate?) was waiting in the room for us. Through the week, concierge staff dropped off fresh fruit twice, a plate of chocolate-dipped strawberries and cake, cheese and crackers, cookies and milk (like we needed more to eat ), and one afternoon dropped off an envelope for the boys with two $5 arcade cards, two trading cards, and pins. They also left informational voice mail messages, checking to see what else they could do for us.

Would we book a Cat. 3 again? You bet -- unless we could get a Cat. 1 or 2!

You'll love it!

We stayed in 8046 in February. It's an awesome room. The only noise we heard was some occasional chairs moving around in the morning (but not too early), and at night. We were so tired at night, that it didn't keep us awake. I'm a very light sleeper and wasn't bothered at all. We have the same room booked for next February! Enjoy it.:sunny:
