Hi I just wanted to know if anyone had booked this room(7501) or in the same area (being the very front of the ship?) I wanted to know if the front of the ship is rockier than the middle or back...should I upgrade to get something more in the middle or rear?any info on this would be great... Message me...Thank-you.

We recently stayed in 7510 (Panam Canal trip) and in fact we usually stay around this area. Being in the Navy anyway I don't usually get seasick; however, my wife does so we have to choose carefully. Naturally the front or rear will be where the most motion is, and the further up you go there will also be more motion (provided of course there is a swell in the ocean making the ship move - waves are not the indicator of a rough sea - its the swell that'll get ya). Thus up front or at the rear, and high up will be worse than elsewhere with low and midships being the most stable, but that all this talk of movement doesn't mean the ship is throwing you around or that it is uncomfortable on deck 7 fwd! In fact we found 7510 it very pleasant. It meant that you get to see more from your window as you pull into/out of ports and that you are closer to the upper decks and the spa (should you be a keen user of the stairs!). Hope this is of use, any particular questions feel free to PM.

We just got back and we were 7500 and 7502. We felt the ship moving more this time than last time, being more in the middle. I didn't know about the swell being at the frontor the back. I will say it was very quiet up there. But a long way from the restaurants. It was a long way for my 80 year old parents to walk. While is was so quiet, I think I would rather not have the long walk for them again. But the Last night, it was hard to stand up when we were packing going against the current going back to California, that is the only night, I wondered if I would loose it, and my DH, finally went to bed, he couldn't stand the motion...

We are booked in 8580...right in front of the aft stairs. What do you think? I am very proned to motion sickness and so is our oldest son :guilty:

we were in 8578 and didnt have a problem at all. I love being in that location.

The closer to center you are and the lower you are, the less motion. That said, each person and each cruise is different. We've never had a motion problem on the Magic despite some rough seas. I'm pretty sensitive in a car, small plane, and small boat....but not on the Magic

We were aft on deck 8 on one of our cruises and the only thing I noticed more was that the halls were really hot because of more doors opening and closing upstairs to go to the Mickey Pool and to TopSiders. I frankly prefer the front. One thing nice being that far forward is that you don't have any hall traffic because the only people going up that far should only be people who have staterooms there.

Where do you go to see where your stateroom is located? I have the stateroom # but have no idea if it is forward, aft, etc. I looked at the DCL website without success? You guys all seem to know.

Texasgirl, you can find a deck plan in the Passporter. IDK where you can find that info online. What is your room number & someone can look it up for you. We have always stayed on deck 7 forward...7010, 7503, and 7504 on our next trip. VERY quiet location since the bridge entrance & officer quarters are at the end of the hall. You don't have much hall traffic there at all. It is also very convenient. We like it so much that we choose our cruise date based on the availablity in that area. :)

My son and family were in 7000 while we were right by the elevators but there was no more motion in his room than in ours. Very little traffic by 7000 which was great because my grandson was an infant and could nap on demand. My 5 year granddaughter loved the attention the ship's officers paid her on their way to their room or bridge.
