Hi everyone,
I'm a first time DCer and am wondering about the room we have. We are booked on the March 10 Wonder. We booked late and not many rooms left to choose from. I am worried about motion sickness. Any information would be helpful.
Thanks :confused3  :confused3  :confused3

Hi Sophie1!

I noticed you were pretty new here so WELCOME!! I'm afraid I am also a new Disney cruiser so I wont be of any help with your question. I did find this on anouther thread...

While forward can be prone to motion, we have never had a problem. It would be more pronounced higher in the ship (the most I ever felt was during a massage on deck 9 forward), but the ship has excellent stabilizers so you should be fine.

By the way, myself and my just turning 4 ( birthday celebration cruise) DD are also on that cruise with you. I was beginning to think I was the only Dis'er on board.

Thanks for the response, Its great to meet a fellow ship mate. I will be traveling with my DH, and two DS's ( 17 & 6 ). We are counting down the days.

We were just in room 6514 on the 1/16 Wonder (next door to yours). The room was very nice - loved the porthole (very big - the kids could sit in it - made for a very nice photo). Our cruise had particularly rough seas. The kids and I both had motion queasyness (not quite sickness) on the first and last nights. We felt it most in the restaurants which are in the aft section of the boat. It was bad enough to not make it through dinner. Our dining companions told us we were lucky to leave when we did - many other passengers did get sick that evening. By the time they finished eating dinner, 75% of the people who had been there had left due to the motion. While we did feel motion in our room on those nights, I don't think it was any worse than any other section of the ship. Enjoy your room!!

We booked a category 11 gtee and were upgraded to a category 8 on our last cruise. we had cabin 6010.The cabin was beautiful. I don't remember feeling any motion. Certainly none of us felt sick for even a minute.
