We have an older Thule Excursion Rooftop carrier on our Honda Pilot (I think it's a 15 cubic foot model, we borrowed it from family so I'm not sure). Do we need to hassle with taking it off the car (we are staying a few different places so I'd rather not of we don't have to)?

Do we need to worry about theft (it will be empty)? If we do leave it on Is it better to leave it unlocked so if someone did want to cause harm could see it was open or is it better to always lock it? We have never had one before and don't know he golden rules with using one on a trip.

Will there be any issues parking at Mickey & Friends if we leave it on? Should we just go straight to Toy Story Lot instead? It would be fun to ride the tram at least once...

If you know the clearance you can tell them at M&F and they can direct you to the outdoor parking area that they have there.

The roof clearance is tremendous and I would not worry about it.
Worst case they would send you to the "over-sized vehicle" lot. Which doesn't cost any more and is closer to the trams.

Zero worries. I roll into M&F Garage with all kinds of tall and oversized vehicles. You will be totally fine with one of those carriers especially on a Honda, but should you exceeded the height limitation they will just direct you to the oversized lot on the first level vs up the ramp into garage. You can enter the garage with a full size semi truck and trailer to give ya an idea of how much room there is.
