Get a fiberglass kit about $19.99 Homedepot..
Neither of these solutions will work, the roof is ABS plastic, not fiberglass. The fiberglass resin will not adhere to the plastic. We had cracks and pits on the roof of our 1983 Pace Arrow. After much investigation and trial and error we used the Bondo Fiberglass Resin Jelly. We were doing repair work on our MH prior to us painting it and used the resin on the body. My husband said, why not try it on the roof. What do we have to loose. It works great. Salvo's has it, but Walmart also carries it for a lot cheaper. We also got the fiberglass cloth there. I would highly recommend it. Hope this helps.
I see you were given the link to my roof story web page.We had a 1998 Coleman popup that started getting cracks in the roof and we found out that this was very common for these models. It was going to cost us around $2000 to replace the roof so we ended up selling ours. Here is some good information for you and it includes some do-it-yourself repair tips:

I Battled the old ABS roof for many years on our 1999 Coleman Westlake. The only way to fix it completely is roof replacement. The ABS roofs warp and d laminate dew to uv rays. I found help on Pop Up Explorer on line. You half to do a chemical weld to seal the crack completely. You half to drill out the ends of the cracks to stop the run and then mix some ABS plastic with M.E.K. (its in the paint section at the hardware store and the ABS use white Lego's or order ABS pellets on line. You make a thick paste and in a air tight jar. I opened the cracks just a little with a dermal tool and then right before you apply the mix clean the area good with some ABS on a rag but be careful to much MEK can eat the roof At this point there are several options: You can use a small strip of fiberglass cloth to help reinforce the crack by aplying the ABS then place the cloth in the slurry then apply a coat over that. After it drys it will need to be sanded and almighty need another coat of ABS. When its all done it needs to be painted to protected. Krylon Fusion will bond to the ABS plastic but everything I have studied says to use a product made for truck bed liners called Grizzly Grip. This is a lot to take in but its not that hard! Checkout the Pop up explorer sight and search ABS repair. If I can answer any questions feel free to email me. Get it fixed and we'll see ya at the Fort!
