We are looking for a 3-4 day beach add on to our 5 day Dis World trip. If anyone has stayed at Ron Jons Resort please let us know what you thought of it??? Thanks!!

I was very surprised in the Ron Jon resort. I will seriously consider it if we decide to to another curise, or want a few days at the beach on that side. It was clean, very well kept. The pool area was awesome. We were in a studio, which was perfect for just DH and I. Decor was very tropical and well done. The Staff was very helpful and our check in went very quickly,we arrived early and our unit was ready. I wish we would have scheduled more than just one night there. The beach is a little walk or they have a shuttle from the main area. This beach would be perfect for families with small children, it's really flat and not a lot of big waves. We did also find quite a few nice shells.

Please go to tripadvisor.com and read my review. I can't say enough good things about this resort. We stayed there for 5 nights and it was awesome. Very beautiful. Very clean. Lots for kids to do. The gentleman who is there daily doing balloon animals is the best I have ever seen. He was making Mickey and Minnie Mouse hats and Goofy's out of balloons. A perfect tie in to a Disney vacation.
You will love this resort. We got an excellent rate of $108 a night for a 1 bedroom villa. It had a full kitchen and washer/dryer and a really nice size balcony overlooking the pool.
The ONLY negative thing to me was our dinner at the Reefside Grill. It was absolutely awful. It would be worth it to get a cab (if you don't have a car) and go to Grill's. This restaurant was awesome and not far from the hotel.

Enjoy!!

Thanks for the info, it looks like we are going to stay there before our Disney Vacation!!!

We enjoyed Ron Jon very much and I will stay there again when we cruise but I think there are nicer beaches, with hotels right on the beach. At Ron Jon I think you need to stay a week to get beach front and the beach is not as pretty as say Destin or the gulf side. Again I liked Ron Jon it was nice and the pool is really fun but the beach can be quite far from your room. I would not consider it a place for a beach vacation. I like to look out the balcony and see the water, be able to walk to the beach with all the "beach stuff" easily. :D
