Is the Ron Jon's resort right on the beach? As in, walk out of hotel onto sand, or do you have to cross the street? And to anyone has stayed there... would you recommend this hotelprior to the cruise? The pool sounds like a blast.

It's looking like there is a problem with Grumbo's picture page. :( Probably not available anymore. I don't know.

Thanks everyone. Through one of the threads here, I learned that there is a beach onsite and that you can observe the cruise ships coming and going from certain balconies.

I'm trying to figure which one has the better pool.... Ron Jon's or Raddison? I saw in one review that the lazy river at Ron Jon's closes at 5pm.

From my experience at the pool last weekend I can tell you that the lazy river does close at 5. We checked in right about 3 and stayed in the lazy river for almost two hours before it closed. The pool area at Ron Jon's is massive! They have a water playground for the kids. A big waterslide, the lazy river, a huge swimming pool and several jacuzzi's.
I have only seen pictures of Radisson's pool which looks very very nice, but I think Ron Jon's probably has them beat with the lazy river and all.

But it's only the lazy river that closes at 5 right?

I thought I read the pool remained open much later.
