Anyone familiar with this resort? Ron Jon Cape Caribe Resort
I have a quote of $185 for a standard 2 bedroom.
Is this a new resort? I have heard of the surf shop but do not recall hearing of the resort. Any info would be great! TIA

I do not know the resort you are speaking about. I stayed at another RonJon resort. Liki Tiki it was horrible. I know there have been people who liked it but they stayed in the new buildings. Still, just the aura of the resort, the cleanliness)fdust and bugs in the display case to begin with) of the lobby, and the caliber of the staff who worked there told me volumes. I wrote to them about the horrible experience I had including the pee stained bed my son had to sleep in and they basically just wrote a kiss off letter. It was not just the accomodations but rather the whole experience. If I see Ron Jon now I run. I know others will dispute this but truly I have never stayed anywhere like this before and hopefully never will again.

Yes I am familiar with it, we are going to stay there in June.
There are post about it including pics on the cruise boards here on the dis. There are coupons/discounts for this place as well.
It is brand new just opened in Jan 04. And so far the reports about it on the cruise boards have had raved reviews.
It is directly on the beach at cape caniversal/cocoa beach it has all kinds of things for kids, and looks like a great family vacation spot.

Bella the Ball 360...that does sound horrible...ick. I have stayed at places like that in the past and now I am very careful and appreciate your warning. But by the sound of this new Ron Jon you may not want to write them off forever! :cutie:

And thank you DNSDisney ! I found a ton of info on the cruise board! WOW!!

We toured, bought and went back to use the facilities before leaving for home, while in the area in February. We loved the resort. It's brand new and everything is done very nicely there. The lazy river and water slides are a big hit with the kids and adults. We purchased a pool side 2 b/r unit because it's closer for the kids to get to, but out at the end of the property there's a building right on the ocean. BEAUTIFUL. I want one of those units. LOL You can watch the ships sail in and out from the docks. The resort is right along the port where the ships dock. I can't wait to return next April for our stay there. Enjoy!

Check for codes- We used code 102 for price of 79.00 Studio/109.00 1 bedroom. Others have used code 260 and code 300. Check using the search feature for Ron Jon's or code 102 or code 300... Mark
