Ron Jon Resort - parking/shuttle?

Just wondering if anyone was able to find out any more information as to the parking and shuttle situation at the new Ron Jon Resort. We would love to stay there this August, but we will be driving down so the free parking and shuttle service offered by the Radisson is a definite consideration. Thanks.

there is free parking but no shuttle. I just got off the phone with them and asked about leaving a car there and she said not a problem, just when I check out to ask where to leave it. That made me think they don't have a designated lot for leaving cars like the Radisson does.

So, your only option would be to take a cab from the resort to the pier? Does anyone have any idea how much that would cost?

I'm trying to decide if the hassle and cost would be worth it versus the Radisson for one night.

A taxi would cost less than $5. Art's Shuttle (www.artsshuttle.com) is available for $3/person.

Thanks, Dave! I guess the deciding factor will be our flight times and if we'll even have time to enjoy the facilities. I'm anxiously awaiting some trip reports!

Hi there - Jen and Peter were at my shop yesterday and I gave them directions on how to get to Ron Jon Caribe Resort - since they did not believe me when I told them about this discussion board, I sent a business card with them and told them who to ask for and then proceed to convince them that we do exist and there are cruisers that are interested - so I am sure they will give a full report when they get back -
Also whento Ron Jon's, I was informed there would be no parking available - if you weren't staying there then the car had to go with you - I see they changed their thoughts on that - was glad to hear it now lets see if they will do something about a shuttle to the port -
