Ron Jon or not

Currently I'm trying to decide if reserving a night at Ron Jon's is worth it or not. I've got a reserveration for the Quality Inn Airport on McCoy Rd for May 22nd. I've stayed there before and the rooms were nice - 2 Queen beds, sofa, microwave & fridge. The pool is nothing to write home about though. Quality Inn offers complimentary cocktails in the evening and free continental breakfast in the morning - AAA rate of $59.39. It is about an hour drive to Port Canaveral.

I will be arriving around 4pm - 5pm the night before the cruise (after about an 8-9 hour drive). Since it's just myself with my DD11 and DS10 - I'll be the only one driving. I've heard such nice reviews about Ron Jon's that I was wondering if it would be worth the extra money if I would be arriving around 5pm to stay there instead or save the money for the cruise. And would I feel like enjoying Ron Jon's pool area after that drive.

It sounds like you got a good price at the Quality Inn and managed to snag some free cocktails and breakfast on top of it. If you are in the mood to just crash after a long drive then maybe this is the hotel to go with. You will not get these benefits at the Ron Jon and the cost will be a more (with a code). On the upside, you will be an hour closer to the port at the Ron Jon and if you think you will be in the mood to swim a bit then you will have a great facility for it. The slide closes around dark and the pool area closes somewhere between 10:00-11:30. There is also a movie room (theater) within the resort and some other fun things to do. I would venture to guess your children would prefer to hang at the Ron Jon too. This is a dilemma!
