Ron Jon/Isle of Bali, anyone been there recently?

Yes, I have done a search through the archives but I'm looking for some fresh input? I got a great rate from HotelKingdom on this resort ($85-99 for a 2 bedroom suite), the pictures of the resort look great but I would love to hear from someone who has been their recently. We stayed at the Vistana Resort this past year and it was great. I wonder how the Ron Jon will compare? Thanks.

we stayed there last sept. and liked it very much. they have a main pool and a themed pool that they call a small water park. the only problem is it is out at the end of 192 so you have to go through all the construction to get back to I 4 which is where you enter disney property. it took us 15 or 20 minutes to go this 4 mile stretch. maybe the work on this stretch has progressed to the point that it isn't as tied up in the morning. try calling direct and getting the "magic card" rate, the last time i looked the hotelkingdom rates were promos based on agreeing to do a timeshare tour.

Stayed at Isle of Bali 5/2000. Before name change. O'kay for that price, I guess. I personally wouldn't stay there again. Nothing really wrong with it. A bit worn and out of the way. Probably was spoiled with higher expectations after having stayed at Marriott Cypress Harbor on previous trip. Much, much better decor, landscaping, and location at the Marroitt.

Pool was fine, although, wasn't a mini "water park" as they hyped it to be. Also noticed a lot of local day visitors to the "water park" which congested it a bit.

Heard good things about Visitana. If you're comparing, Ron Jon may not measure up.

However, for the price of a typical hotel room, it's nice to get a 2 bedroom.
