The worst thing for us was that the pool and lazy river would get over crowded at times because they give free day passes to people who go on a time share tour, if you purchase you can use the facilities for the next 3 years for free(many people from Orlando area buy and drive in for the day) and one day when we were there it was a stop for the Carnival cruise ship and the passangers could come use the pool for the day. As they sell more units the pool area will continue to get more and more crowded. We won't be returning.

found this on trip advisor and wondered if it was overcrowded
when you went?

I was the person who wrote the trip report. I was there July 28th to Aug 7th and at times the pool, lazy river and chairs were very crowded. Maybe with school back in session it will be less crowded unless you are going over a weekend, holiday or busy spring break time. When you stay at the resort each person in your room is given an elastic wrist band to wear in the pool area, I noticed many people with paper wrist bands so I asked them, and I was told by several people how they got to use the water park. We also went to the Ron Jon's store in Cocoa beach and we were approached by the timeshare people and offered a free day to use the facilities at the resort if we went to a timeshare presentation. One day we saw several dozen people with carnival cruise line towels, my husband thought maybe they were giving away free towels, so again we asked and we were told it was a stop the cruise ship from New York made, and the excursion offered was to come and use the pool area at the hotel for 9 hours. If you have other questions call the Ron Jon store in Cocoa beach and ask for the timeshare desk, or try the Ron Jon resort and see if they will answer your questions.

oh okay thanks! and sorry to use your post w/o permission.
I always worry someone might get upset.

I just dont want to spend all the money/time at a place and
feel like I should have gone somewhere else.

We just want a nice resort near cocoa beach for 2 days before the cruise, so the kids can swim on the beach.

have a great day!:sunny:

I'm glad you read my report. I have never reviewed a property before, but I have enjoyed reading other people's review's and it has helped me select properties. After I made reservations at Ron Jon's I started reading all the negative reviews, I should have canceled but my husband talked me out of changing. I should have trusted all the negative reviews. Because this property just opened in Jan 2004, there is not a lot of information on it, so I hoped I could help others by writing a review.

I was disapointed that I spend $200 per night on a deluxe 2br, and they were giving away free admission to the water park. I didn't even want them to sell admission, it should be only for hotel guests. We never knew what to expect each day when we went to the pool. Many people brought large groups of unsupervised children with them, they live in the area and let there children bring all there friends. There are no life guards on duty so no one stopped the kids from diving into the pool, groups with someone on there shoulders trying to pull people over, a lot of inconsiderate behavior. I have 4 kids, so I'm use to commotion but I don't want someone falling off someone's shoulders and landing on my child or myself.

 Oh no, I haven't been reading the board lately and I just extended our stay by one day TODAY. I am a little nervous now. When I booked there were no negative thoughts. What else are people saying about it besides the pool being overcrowded? We will be there Oct 20.
