Well we were blessed to have one of our immediate family members watch our kids so we can enjoy a relaxing and romantic vacation. Something we both desperately need.

Our next predictament...

We have some friends (not particullary close but good friends including someone we haven't seen in over 10 years) in the area that we want to see but not particullary the entire day. We made some time in our limited schedule one evening off site (we are only at Disney for 5 nights) to spend some time with them one evening and the rest of the time is "US" time. Now it is appearing they want to spend more time with us at the park. Now if we had a week or more then probably no problem.

However... what would you say? I don't want to offend anyone but it really is time just for me and my husband.

Give them the "wink";) and remind them that you are child-free and need to connect in that romantic way.

If they have children, they will understand. If they don't have children, you may need to explain it to them with more than a wink. LOL

Run away!! :rotfl:

In all seriousness though, we got burned with the same sort or situation. One of our friends recently moved to Orlando, and asked if we could make time to spend with him on our last trip. We set aside a day for him (already crowded schedule so it was hard) and explained to him up front that we could spend that day with him but the next day we had other plans. We even offered to put him on our room reservation for the night so we could do EMH and he wouldn't have to worry about getting home. We thought it was all fine, but the next morning when we got up and told him we had to leave he got bent out of shape and said he thought we would be spending that day with him as well. And to make it worse he had only purchased a one day ticket, so he wanted us to hang out at Downtown Disney instead of in a park. As much as we love the guy it was a difficult situation and kinda made us regret ever offering to meet him at all. :sad2:

I think we are going to stick to our guns and stay with the planned meeting time and place off site. I don't think we will be at one park for the entire day at any time during our stay. Our plans are ever changing it seems since there is just the 2 of us. I want to keep it spotaneous as well as relaxing.

There will be NO coming back to our room to stay over.:rotfl:

Thank you all for your advice!!!
