Hi everyone! I mainly lurk on the board, but I love all the information that's here! I figured this would be the best place to come for our latest WDW trip!

My DH is in the AF and deployed to Iraq right now. He comes home in November, spends his 2 weeks on free leave, and then we're heading for WDW right after that! He missed our 1st wedding anniversary b/c of the deployment, so we're both looking at this trip as our anniversary present to each other. We work through the plans together (yay e-mail!) but I'm actually booking everything, and I'd really like to make this as special of a trip as I possibly can!

So I guess my main question is, what are some of hte most romantic things you've gotten to do (or have heard about doing) at WDW?

We're getting there 12/13 (at Shades of Green), and here are the dining reservations i made today (all dinner, except Le Cellier):

Kona Cafe (DH reeeally wants to try it!)
Restaurant Marrakesh
California Grill (9:20 right now, but I'm going to keep checking to see if I can get it to sync up with the 9pm wishes)
Mama Melrose's at MGM
House of Blues (we're spending the rest of that evening at Pleasure Island)
Le Cellier (lunch on our last full afternoon there. dinner's booked out the week so far)

We're also going to make sure to go to the MVMCP, Candlelight Processional, Fantasmic, and the Osbourne Lights. Neither of us has ever been to WDW during the holidays, so any other holiday suggestions are welcome too!

Thank you so much!

Many years ago DH & I had a carriage ride over at Ft. Wilderness.

We timed it so we could see the fireworks from MK through the trees & they had a little bottle of champagne for us.

I thought it was very romantic and we really enjoyed it.
You might want to think about something like that.

What ever you do, enjoy.
And I hope your DH stays safe over there!

I have a very special place in my heart for romance at WDW since my DH proposed over dinner at Cinderella Castle. If you can still get ADRs, I recommend it, for the ambiance, but there are other things you can do, too. DH and I go every year before Christmas, and this is our first year staying at SOG. We always get a towncar to take us from the airport to the hotel. Tiffany Towncar is the best deal there, by far. About $100+tip for the round-trip, and you get extra time since ME requires you to be ready about 4 hours early, Tiffany only 2 hours.

You don't need to do anything extravagant to be romantic at WDW. We have dinner at Ohana at the Poly and time it for Wishes. We also take the ferry from MK to Poly prior to dinner, which is pretty romantic. If you tell the CM when you make ADRs (or call back and tell them afterwards) that you're going for a special occasion, you'll find you get a little extra magic along the way.
