Romantic Escape Pkg - how far in adv can you book ressies??

Hi, I'm wondering when I can book my Palo dinner and brunch ressies and SPA time?

How far in advance can you book?

DCL rep called us about 2 weeks before our cruise to book palo. the spa you book after boarding that first day.

It's my first time on here, but I was going to ask the same thing about the Romance at Sea pkg. So does that mean that you still need to stand in line on the ship to book spa time? ::

I was under the impression that you booked the spa in advance too....I figured with REAS I didn't have to stand in line at Palo OR the Spa.....

You should NOT have to wait to board the ship to book the Spa. My cruise is on 11/28/04 (4 nt. Wonder) and I have already had my Palo and Spa reservations for at least a month.

Now, the official word is that you can't call, and DCL won't call you until 30 days or less before your cruise (i.e. the previous poster receiving their call 2 weeks out). However, as I found out through this site, you can call Debbie at DCL directly (she is the one who books the ressies). She is an ABSOLUTELY WONDERFUL person to work with on these things. The key is to do a search on this board and find her direct number (I don't have it handy). Otherwise, it takes a lot of effort to get transferred to her. She will happily book your days and times for Palo, Spa, breakfast in bed and turndown service.

As a final note, because of the current situation, I would REALLY wait for at least another week before I tried to call her. DCL is going to have their hands full in the coming week or so straightening everything out from this hurricane.

We also booked our reservatons already and we are going Oct 9th, we were told to wait but I couldn't stand to wait until 2 weeks out so called and left Debbie a message. She called back a day later and was extemely nice, I was prepared for the I shouldn't have called speech but it never came.

The CM advised me the reservations start about 45 days prior to cruise

I reserved my spa and Palo's (incl. brunch) 4 months out via REAS. TA called Debbie at DCL.

Thanks everyone for the great information. I'm a project manager and TRUST ME, I don' t have this much information ahead of time for some of my projects! I have the matrix, the Navigators, my passporter, and of course...all of you! I'm so psyched for this I can hardly wait till January 22! I'll find her number and call..I'm sure it is here somewhere.

As I said in a previous post, I would wait at least 1, if not 2 weeks to call her due to complications from Frances and potential trouble from Ivan!

She is absolutely wonderful to work with and will be a great help!

We can't wait either, Mike! This year our family is even more excited about Christmas than ever- because our big gift will be around the corner in January!

We'll be up on Deck 6- and our friends will be up on Deck 5. The stairs and elevators will be worn out with all of the up and down!

Thanks TiggerKing! I'll surely be using it...I'm almost embarrassed to do it this early but I think (THINK) I have it all figured out!

And MickeyFanMom - we are actually going to give the kids a three day trip to WDW and when the van comes to pick us up to 'go to the airport', they'll be totally whacked when they see the Magic appear in the distance.

I'll be more excited than them I bet!
