December trip is getting closer! My mother has offered to take the kids for a night. Any suggestions for a nice kidless dinner? Can pre-planned packages be reserved? Thanks in advance!!

Artist Point is the best restaurant at WDW IMHO -- it's a wonderful experience for a couple looking for a romantic meal.

Where are you staying? There may be other options in your own hotel that might be a good option as well.

Me and my partner are leaving in less than 48 hours, and we have a couple of romantic choices. One of them is Bistro De Paris in Epcot and the other is a romantic/mushy/character encounter at Cinderella's Castle. We are eating so much when we are up there, it's crazy! I have been ADR'ing for a month now and I finally said that's it!

Thanks Bicker!
We have considered Artist Point in the past but have not because of kids out voting us. We are staying at CSR and have gone to Maya's before. Would like to try somewhere new. Artist Point would apply.

Staying at CSR, though, I'd recommend you also consider Jiko, at the Animal Kingdom Lodge. It's closer to CSR, and just about as good as Artist Point, on many counts.

For us, Coral Reef, California Grill or Concourse Steakhouse are tops for a good meal and great atmosphere and the romance just naturally flows. Another suggestion would be to Artist Pointe as others have already suggested. Have fun and enjoy the romance no matter where you chose!!

I would recommend Narcoossee's at the Grand Floridian. It overlooks the water, Magic Kingdom and the Contemporary. All of the tables have a view of the water, but I would suggest a table by the window, if you can get it. When the sun begins to set, they dim the lights a bit and you have a better view of all of the lights across the water. The food is fantastic and the service is elegant. We just loved it!

The restaurant in Mexico in EPCOT is soooo romantic. It's dark, candle-lit, with the volcano backdrop and the river ride bubbling by. Very nice.

I still feel that V&A at GF is the most romantic dinner DH and I have ever had. (on our honeymoon in 2000) It's probably the most expensive resturant in WDW..but I have to say it was definately worth it. If you can work it into your budget it's an experience you will NEVER forget.

Have a great trip!!!

How about California Grill? It is beautiful and great food! If you time your dinner so you can see Wishes it is awesome! They dim the lights and pipe the music in. We did this last year for our anniversary and are doing it again this year!

I think Jiko's is rather a bustling restaurant....good food, but not very quiet or at least that has been my experience when I have been there.....waitstaff hustling back and forth, and just lots of people.

I remember, although have to admit to not having been there lately, that Artist point was rather quiet, beautiful decorated and just sort of calming...I like that as Romantic. I just think since all the restaurants are so busy now that it is hard to find one that would qualify as Romantic....beautiful ambiance, good food, not real noisey, slower paced...great service...I could go on and on....maybe these are my terms for Romantic...

I second Jiko. I think they have the best menu on property and an amazing wine selection.

We like to go to Spoodles for romantic dinners. The thing that makes it for us is the Boardwalk location, the tapas menu with drinks (sharing food is sexy
;) ), and the great service we've always had there.

Whatever you chose, I'd recommend a later reservation...8:30 or later. Everything tends to calm down a bit when most families have returned to the parks for fireworks and such.

Yes, it is. Very DARK. D-A-R-K, dark. Oh so dark. Dark, dark dark.

I would like to second Victoria and Albert's. It never has a crowded feel and it is by far the most elegant and romantic restaurant on Disney property. Of course you will pay for it as well. The meal costs around $100 a person or more if you choose wine pairings. The experience is absolutely out of this world and worth every penny though. If you have the luxury to splurge, I recommend it above all others mentioned.

I've got to agree on the Artist Point recommendations. :thumbsup2

We've always enjoyed the meals there. The wine parings really make it a nice meal. And we love the coffee two ways desert.

Nice atmosphere (take a walk down by the lake afterward and wait fo the geyser to go off). We like Pok as a server.

You want romantic?
V and A's is the best, most romantic restaurant at WDW, period.
There are other great restaurants, but V and A's by far is #1.
