Me and DH went there once already, and although it was very impressive, I'm looking for something new to surprise DH with. We are meeting in WDW for his R&R from military deployment and we haven't seen each other in 5 months. We Love seafood and good wine. Any suggestions?

Sea food and good wine...you have two excellent options.

Todd English has a restaurant in the Dolphin..Blue Zoo. The food and service are wonderful and the wine list is extensive. Very romantic in the evening..the whole place glows blue (not neon like..lol)...just because of the decor...it is beautiful.

Flying Fish over at the Boardwalk. Also wonderful food/service.
Great wine list.

Although the Yachtsman is better know for its steaks. They do have lobster and a great wine list.

Not to mention the dessert sampler is just delicious!

Have a great trip!!

Beth

I recommend Narcoosee's at the GL. Great seafood and you can time your PS w/ Wishes fireworks.

CA Grill is nice, great wine list and menu, and on the monorail line so easy to get to. It's more romantic later in the evening IMHO when it's getting dark outside and the interior lighting is dimmed (and there seemed to be less kids as the evening wore on). GREAT spot for viewing wishes. Flying Fish is another good suggestion if you're planning to be in the Epcot or MGM area. Good menu and wine list. Also hear good things (both menu and atmosphere wise) about Shula's and Blue Zoo but haven't been there personally.
Enjoy!

Last Dec. for a romantic meal my DH and I went to Bistro de Paris. The wine list was awesome and so was the food. It was quiet and our server was amazing. We never wanted or had to ask for anything. We will definitly go back here again next trip.

Citrico at the GF is a lovely restaurant with some really good seafood choices. It has become my favorite WDW restaurants.

I highly recommend Artist Pointe at the Wilderness Lodge. The atmosphere is quiet and romantic and the food/wine is fabulous! :)

Go to California Grill. They have the best wine list, the best food, the best atmosphere and a view you can't get anywhere else in WDW. It will be well worth it...

Fulton's Crab House is a good choice over at Downtown Disney and Le Cellier in Canada has some awesome wines. Especially the Ice wine :)

The Coral Reef in Epcot is wonderful. You get a great view of the enornous aquarium, and they have excellent food!

Flying Fish !!!! And when you meet your server let them know who you and hubby are. They will treat you like royalty. You might even go home with a gift or two.

The first time we were there it was for our 25th anniversary......they went all out for us.

The second time our oldest son was home on leave(Jan/2004).......wow! They really out did themselves this time. Our son felt awkward at first, but really appreciated the special touches and thankyou's.

Another vote for Todd English's bluezoo. It's romantic, specializes in seafood, it's delicious and the wine list is very good. I couldn't recommend it any higher!

My hubby & I have had romantic dinners at:
V&A
CA.Grill
Shula's (Dolphin hotel)
Fulton's Crab House

We have enjoyed all of them:teeth:

Maybe I'm crazy but if I hadn't seen my hubby in 5 months...I'd be gettin' some fancy room service ;)

My choice would be Todd English's BlueZoo. It's extremely romantic, excellent service, and the freshest of seafood. Prices are no more than the other top Disney restaurants. Enjoy!

I second Artist Point...it is wonderful!

My vote is for Narcossee's at Grand Floridian (with a walk on the beach afterwards).
Next in line would be California Grill.

if you MUST eat out ( ;) ) I'd try Jiko, good wines (let them recommend something to go with your meal),great seafood (I loved the monkfish and the shrimp was good too), very romantic, and not many children.

The brown derby would be another good choice, they don't specialize in seafood but they do it well, however it is a bit less romantic.
