My husband and I will arrive at our resort on our 1st anniversary. We don't want to start using our park passes until the next day so I'd like to find a nice place for us to eat in one of the resorts. We're going to be staying at the BWV. Is the Flying Fish a good choice? What are some other good places? I've looked at menus and there are so many it's hard to decide. Any advice would be great. Thanks!

If you have the money, it is difficult to beat Victoria and Albert's at the Grand Floridian. The atmoshpere is VERY romantic - the tables are spaced far apart so it is quiet, live piano music, two waiters to take care of your every desire, candlelight, no children, personalized menus you can take with you, a beautiful red rose for the lady, etc. It will set you back over $200 (heck, the tip will be as much as you would spend at many places for an entire meal for two!), but it is something you will remember for a very long time.

The Flying Fish is an excellent restaurant. You also have, within walking distance, the Yachtsman Steakhouse in the Yacht Club Resort, and BlueZoo in the Dolphin. Both restaurants are very good. Enjoy! :)

If your are lucky, you might be able to get the Chef's Table...V&A chef personally designs a meal for you in the kitchen...this is a bit expensive, again.

We had a great meal at Flying Fish, but it was also very noisy. If you want quiet and romantic i'd go for something else. Yachtsmans Steakhouse or Blue Zoo are the closest to you but there are others if you are up to going to another resort.

If you list your preferences for food, and if money is a problem i'm sure you'll get lots of advice. As already stated V&A will be the high end choice.

Well, I really doubt that V&A is in our price range, although I'd love to. We're both college students and getting to Disney in the first place is going to be a huge feat. :crazy2: Anyway, we want something nice that won't be more than say, $100 for the both of us.

Does that help?

Thanks you guys!

I agree with this list and would also add Palio (Italian) at the Swan.

I would love to try V & A some day, myself. But Palio in the Swan also had a very nice atmosphere. Happy Anniverary, albeit in advance! :love2:

My DH and I celebrated our 1st Anniversary last year at Disney and we ate at Victoria and Alberts. It is expensive but well worth the money (we paid $250 including the tip). Especially for a first anniversary. When we made the reservation we let them know that it was our 1st Anniversary. Everyone from the person taking the reservation to both our Victoria and Albert wished us Happy Anniversary and thanked us for sharing it with them. Our personalized menus even say Happy 1st Anniversary. The food was excellent. Just perfect Disney magic to celebrate your one and only 1st Anniversary.
