Any ideas? I am trying to suprise my wife (JUST MARRIED IN OCTOBER) for her birthday and I am looking for a place to take her. Somewhere romantic and special for her birthday. I will be in MK around dinner time but it doesn't look like there are that many places there for something nice. Epcot would work too but I would have to do a late lunch or early dinner.

She loves Fireworks so I planned to do that, hopefully with a cruise, at MK later. A bit expensive though...

Anyway, any ideas?

Thanks,

-Josh

I just can't think of anywhere in the MK that would be considered romantic, although if you don't mind a quick monorail ride, that opens up all sorts of possibilities... California Grill, Narcoosee's, Citricos, and the hallowed and expensive and event spot, Victoria and Alberts.

I think the most romantic spot in Epcot is Bistro de Paris, just because it's out of the hubbub of the other park spots and most certainly isn't "theme park food". For atmosphere, San Angel Inn is pretty doggone romantic, but the food itself can be less than compelling.

If you are going for a romantic spot that also will be mostly kidless then I would think either Bistro de paris or Victoria and Alberts. V & A though pricey is sure to be something you won't forget.

If you are looking specifically for MK or EPCOT park restaurants-I would suggest Bistro de Paris in EPCOT. We were there on our honeymoon-one of our favorites. We were there during Illuminations and the server opened an emergency exit type door with a set of stairs that we stood on to watch the show-our best viewing of Illuminations ever-and VERY romantic!

In MK-The Castle! Although, no alcoholic drinks...but, it's the Castle!

If you'd like to leave the parks-California Grill and Artist Point are two of my favorite romantic restaurants.

And of course there is Victoria & Albert's...never been there-but hope to sometime.

The Castle features Cinderella's Royal table.
Menu:
Adults: $39.99

Children 3-9: $24.99

which will be from a fixed-price, set menu.

A buffet is not my idea of a romantic dinner though.

My advice jump on the monorail and hit either:
The Concourse Steakhouse - Contemporary
The CA Grill - Contemporary - and my top pick
Narccossee - Grand Floridan
Citrico's - Grand Floridan

I agree do Cinderella's Royal Table. That would be special and memorable and not over the top expensive!

San Angel Inn. I don't do frou-frou, so haven't been to Victoria & Alberts, etc. But I think San Angel Inn is the most romantic of all the non-frou-frou places. :)

I love the California Grill at the top of the COntemporary. It's a great romantic dinner with great food and wine. The service is excellent. If you go at night you can see MK and the fireworks at night. I highly recommend it! It's one on my very favorite restaurants.:)

Alfredo's in Epcot would be really great. I think they are closing it end of august though. if not...you can try the steak house in canada. but its not very romantic.

All restaurants I've eaten in are not very private and all a bit noisy too. (Now, I have never eaten at V&A and I'm sure THAT is NOT noisy).

Anyway ... CRT (Cinderella's Royal Table)(MK) is not a buffet. You will want to go for dinner which only has a quick character run through by Fairy Godmother and 2 castle mice sometime during your dinner. Tables are close but I did not feel intruded on. DH and I were seated on the perimeter overlooking the little Cinderella fountain. Very lovely. Our meal was delish ... salad good, entree good, dessert tasty. Service was fine.

Le Cellier (Epcot). Seemed a little loud initially but the no window room soon quieted. Tables close again but I have seen worse (outside WDW!). Meal was fabulous. Steaks perfect. Other items were delicious too. Beer was nice :thumbsup2. I was too full for dessert but DH enjoyed his. Service was excellent.

Those were the most romantic of the restaurants we ate at.

The least romantic was actually at DTD (Fulton's) - I was not impressed with them at all!
