This is my first DC and we booked the romance package. I understand that Disney will call me to setup the reservations for Palo and the spa. But how does Disney deside who to call first?

Don't wait for DCL to call you, call them. I'll send you a PM with the phone #. :)

How far in advance can you call. I booked REAS for our November 2005 cruise and would like to call when it's the appropriate timeframe.

I called about 4 months before my cruise and many Spa and Palo times were already booked. I didn't have a problem getting reservations within 30 minutes of my requested times, but I think I would have if I waited any longer.

The problem is not that you waited budwmn, it is that Disney does not offer many time slots for pre-booking.

Generally speaking they will not take bookings more than 6 months in advance at the most, and really prefer to do the in the 2 month or less range.

DCL only releases a limited number of slots for the spa and palo times, so if you are trying to book them and find a time you want is n/a then it likely was not released to begin with. I'm not saying this is always the case, but it is generally what happens. You can always try to change your spa or palo time once you have boarded if you want a larger selection of times.

Thanks for the information, Sue Ellen! :)
Now, I'll be better prepared for my next cruise.

We are doing the REAS for our Oct 29, 2005 cruise and booked through DU. We got an e-mail last week with all our reservation times on it.

Can you PM me with the phone number. We're doing Mexico July 30, 2005 and I didn't realize you need to call by a certain time.

Does anyone know, do you have to have your cruise paid for in full before you can book the REAS?

Thanks!

I am on the 2/5/05 Eastern cruise. I just purchased the REAS package last week so I was a bit late. I sent an email to my TA (DU) and she had all my ressies setup within a day. I was able to get everything I requested but one - the Palo brunch was set up for 11:30 instead of my requested 10:30. I can live with that!!!

Is this package only for 7 day cruises or can it be done for the 4 or 3 day cruise. Where would I find the information for this

Could you also please PM me with the number? I am surprising my hubby with the REAS for our cruise in November.

Thanks!

The REAS package is for the 3 day and 4 day and 7. Use the search and you will find lots of threads on this. You can not make a ressie for the palo brunch on the 4 day wonder though.

Keggy: I sent you a PM

I agree with the other posters, don't wait for them to call you. When I made my reservation approximately 4 months in advance of our sailing, I was told to expect a call from Disney 4 to 6 weeks before we sailed to make my reservations. I never did receive a call, a letter or any notification. The only way I knew I had the reservation was that it was charged to my charge card. Thanks to these boards, I got the phone # and called and made reservations after all. SO, bottom line is don't wait, call.
