Hi All

My WTB and I are having our honeymoon in florida in May. Most of our daytimes are filled already with themeparks that we want to go to, but I was wondering if anyone can recommend romantic things to do in the evening / romantic places to eat?

If you go to the Port Orleans resort they do carriage rides around the grounds. Thats really nice.

You could splash out and do a fireworks cruise - either Epcot or Magic Kingdom.

Watching the fireworks from the Polynesian beach is lovely and free! and you can catch the electrical water pagent too.

California Grill is a good restaurant, if you book the right time you will get to see wishes from their balcony during your meal.Yachtsman steak house is good, as is blue zoo in the Dolphin. We had amazing meals at both on our honeymoon. Or you could treat your new wife to a private dining at the Grand Floridian! From the pictures ive seen it looks amazing!

They also do movies on the beach outside the yacht club hotel. If you grab a lounger far enough away from everyone else thats a lovely way to finish off an evening!

We're having our wedding and honeymoon in Disney and will be making sure our trip is a lot more laid back and relaxing so we feel it's more of a honeymoon.

We're staying at the Boardwalk for most of it, and are just planning to have a lot of days with no plans, laying by the pool and strolling around EPCOT, trying different drinks and stuff.

We have some nice meals booked for just the two of us (we have a lot of group meals, but want some time alone) at Narcoosees, California Grill, and Jiko.

We also really love wandering the animal trails at AK, so will probably spend a morning doing that and staying away from the crowds, you really can feel like you're in your own little world there.

I'm also looking forward to nights on the beach together at the GF/Poly with a cocktail, watching the fireworks from a hammock.

What's the GF/Poly? And if it is a hotel, do you have to be staying there to have a cocktail and swing in the hammock or is it something anyone can do?

GF= Grand Floridian Resort
Poly= Polynesian Resort

No you don't need to be staying there. You can get there by taking transportation either to the MK or TTC and then taking a monorail or boat to the hotels. :)

I imagine it's a busy time leaving after the fireworks so we're gpin to do this during the days we're staying at the GF and Bay lake tower. If you aren't at a monorail hotel you might be worth waiting for an hour or so after the fireworks end to head back to your accommodation.

Where are you staying?

If you ask me any disney park is romantic at night. Go for a nice bite to eat (le cellier, coral reef etc), then just take your time and look at things your to busy to look at during the day. Thats what we did most nights and they turned out to be quite romantic once the parks started to empty :)

Hello

we went on our honeymoon to WDW in September things I really enjoyed that we did together in the evenings
We went for a meal at Narcoossee's timed it so we were there for Wishes we didn't have a seat by the window but on the upper level I was a bit disappointed but when the fireworks started people went outside and we could still see over them so didn't need to move :D which was good as our meal arrived as the fireworks started. We then went for a walk along the beach and sat in the hammock looking at the stars.
We went for a meal at Yachtsman Steakhouse the meal was very good and walking round the Boardwalk after and watching the entertainment was really good.
On the Boardwalk one night we also sat in the swinging chairs they have on the beach and watched the fireworks
We also loved the food at Sanaa we went in the evening it was really nice but didn't realise that if you were to go in the day you can actually see the Animals but still really enjoyed it there.
Artist Point was one we werent planning on going to but after walking past whispering canyon cafe where we had reservations we were really put off Dave described it as a bun fight lol ok for a group of people but not a romantic meal lol but the artist point was really good and the hotel is lovely at night

Hi,

we went on our honeymoon and recommend two things:
1) Buy 2 glasses of champagne in France, Epcot and watch Illuminations on the bridge between France and UK.
2) Claifornia Grill restaurant is awesome, amazine views of the castle, when you booke mention its a special occasion. They decorated our table with Mickey sprinkles, gave us a free glass of champagne and a free 'congratulations' dessert. All very memorable!

Good luck.

Romance is what you make it.

We went on our honeymoon and even though we were surrounded by people the first time we saw Wishes in Magic Kingdom was one of the most romantic and magical moments of my life, I remember just relating to the words spoken and holding my wife tight.

WDW really is a special place to me now.

If you want to shell out alot of money.. try Victoria and Albert's which is located at the Grand Floridian.. It is one of the 50 best restaurants in the US.. You can do everything from a 7 course to a 10 course and with or without wine pairings and the dinner takes about 2.5 hours - 3 hours.. There are only a certain amount of tables in the in restaurant.. You have to book far in advance.. But, well worth it if you enjoy food and atmosphere..

I agree about watching Wishes from the Poly beach, one of my fav bits from my honeymoon.
