Rolling back packs?

Have been too many times to count and have in the last year( Dec. 04 last time) always brought a rolling back pack with us. It never contains anything non-replaceable. Just park it with stroller parking when rididng rides.

Just returned from first trip to DisneyLand and was told that we could not pull the back pack behind us through the park," fear of some one tripping over it"? Is this a new Disney rule or just something Disney Land came up with?

I've heard about this rule for several years. Like a lot of Disney rules at WDW, they don't enforce them all the time.

Are you talking about Disneyland in Cal? Or Disneyworld in Fl?
If you are talking about WDW in Fl. then this has been their policy for awhile now.

I have not heard anything about this but I would think it would difficult in crowds.

I 'm sorry, Yes I was referring to Disney Land In Ca. We have been over 13 times to WDW since 2000 and we began using the rolling back pack after seeing several others using one. Ourmost recent trip was Dec. 04 and nothing was said. Just wondered if it was unique to DisneyLand?

No rolling backpacks is the policy at Disney World in Fla. too. My friend was going to take hers and I told her there might be a problem and so we emailed WDW and they said they are to be kept in a locker. Backpacks on the back are ok but nothing with wheels.

Yes, they are banned in Disneyland as well, although I still see some people sneeking them in (we're DL ap holders and go at least once a month). Camera tripods were banned too, but I don't know when that kicked in.

Those things are a pain, people are still bringing them in. I can't tell you how many times on my last couple trips that I almost tripped over one. What really drives me nuts is when someone allows their 5 year old to pull it around.

why in god's name would anyone want to lug that thing around..

I hate wearing the backpack I have. only reason I do so is for the camera, id and money....
If I had my druthers, I would carry the resort hotel card only and just go on my merry way.

Yes, not to hurt the feelings of the OP, but this happened to me while I was waiting for the MK parade. A little one just kept rolling that backpack over my feet. Back and forth, back and forth, . . .

I don't think they should be allowed.

I did not see any rolling backpacks during our visit this past week. The crowds were large enough that I think this would have created a danger for others. Jogging strollers with the wheel sticking out in front caused enough problems. (I witnessed several people tripping over these strollers.)

However, I did see a great big rolling cooler being lugged around. The fellow did not look happy to be pulling it in the heat and humidity. Somehow, I just don't think it would be worth the slight savings.

Hey ALDisneyFan! Another Huntsvillian here! I got back from WDW Friday, and though I did see people in the bus lines with rolling backpacks (and even big rolling coolers), I never did see anyone actually in the park with one. I guess they were required to put them in lockers.
