I don't think so, they are fast and exciting.

They are completely different, The hulk uses a launch which is awesome
while rip ride rocket uses a lift chain. They are a must do in my book.

Intensity and scariness depend on the person so it's always objective. Do what Tricky suggests and look for ride videos on YouTube so you can get an idea of the rides.

Gotta agree with checking out the video - especially if you haven't watched the ride at the park before to judge it. LOVE The Hulk - no long first hill (it shoots you out so you can "start" the ride right away) & a couple of loops. It's just long enough to make you want more, but short enough so if you're not enjoying it, it's over pretty quickly.
I've had no luck with RRR - it's closed every time I try to ride it.

I thought Hulk was rough, banging my head around. I rode it once and that was enough. I'll ride the red and blue dragon coasters again, but not Hulk.
I also rode RRR and althought the first part is scary, I found the rest of it to be okay. DD won't ride, so I only got to ride it once.

Since they are both outdoor coasters, you'll be able to judge for yourself by watching them.
