I am sooooooooo excited! I am totally scared to fly though, lol! I hope the weather is good, the 10 day forcast has been looking pretty good this week!

Leaving on Friday.... so I hope this snow hurries up and falls so my flight won't get delayed!!! Will be at the Boardwalk (sshhhhhhh... it's a secret!!!) from 1/30 - 2/1 and then moving over the the Wilderness Lodge till 2/4 I Can't wait.. I have never stayed at either resort.. and am looking forward to the experience... Oh.. btw.. I will copy paste here a meet notice.. if that's okay!? ..

Wilderness Lodge Fireplace Meet 2/2/04
Hey there all.... this is posted within other threads.. but I figured I would make one of it's very own... It seems quite a few Disers will be staying at the WL on this particular date.. and since we hear the weather has been getting a bit chilly at night at Disney.. what would be better than an evening at the lodge in front of the fireplace.. sipping a hot chocolate.. or favorite adult beverage.. swapping Disney stories and putting faces to names.... NOTHING I SAY!!! So.. here it is.. come one come all.. this meet is NOT limited to WL guests.. all Disers are encouraged to come on over to the Lodge and spend some time getting to know each other....So.. the info is as follows:


Meeting Date: Monday Night, February 2, 2004
Meeting Place: Wilderness Lodge Lobby, In Front of the Fireplace
Meeting Time: 9:00 pm

We are going and staying at our usual, The Grand Floridian. I kind of wanted to try the Poly but could not get the dates.

We are there from February 16-February 27th.

How busy is it going to be at this time? I am from Canada and did not know about President's Week. Is it going to be insanely busy?

We will be there from Feb. 21st to Feb. 25th. Short trip while DD is out of school for Mardi Gras. Staying at the Contemporary in the tower. Me, DH, DD and DMIL.

what is going on with this weather..it is driving me CRAZY!!! one day looks good then the next it looks horrible..i dont know how to pack for this trip.....it almost time to leave.....i guess i am gonna have to throw everything we all own in the suitcases....

I know how you feel Cindi...I am from S Florida, so I am ASSURED of being cold...but I always pack shorts because the sun can get warm during the day.

This is not from experience, but from reading on these boards...

I think it's suppose to be very busy that weekend and Monday (which is actually Pres. Day), but then the crowds taper off. Are you actually planning to be in the parks on the 16th? You might want to get some advice on which park b/c that will be a busy day. On the bright side (always a bright side at Disney )...there are extended hours and extra 'goodies' because it's a peak time.

We are going the week before and leaving that Friday before the big weekend. Have a great trip!

We are checking in to our FW cabin on 1/31 and checking out on 2/7. Wish the weather was going to alittle better I guess anything is better than the ice and snow we have now!

Hmmmm...I seem to be having some packing problems. Weather-wise, I'm trying to pack a little bit of everything...but when you're packing for 5 people, a LITTLE bit of everything turns quickly into a LOT of everything!

At this point I'm thinking that the ONE upside to a summer trip is much less luggage--you know what to pack and it's all small stuff! UGH!

Feb. has become my favorite month because we are going to the Poly Feb.22-26! Cannot wait!

Count us in for the Poly from 2/21 through 2/26. Then we'll be heading down to South Beach for my friend's wedding. We can't wait for some warm weather after all these sub zero temps and snow we've had!

Sherr, it looks like we'll be at the Poly at the same time. We're staying in concierge. I'll be the one with a 3yr old, 20 mos old and a 2 mos old. My hair will be grey and I will probably be at the bar most nights! No, we've done this before with my two older DD's, so we know what to expect. I'm hoping that the 3 year old enjoys more rides this year! She can't wait!
