Welcome Glenn! We are certainly a wild and strange bunch here BUT one big happy family! Glad to have you with us! So know that you have joined us you better post or else we send out the mounties to look for those "lurkers". Don't make me send them out for you!

Krista, are you going to Boston for a mini vacation or business? Garry and I went for a few days one month before 9-11-01. We had a blast and would like to go back soon! We even took in a Red Soxs game while we were there. (and they weren't playing the Indians either!) We went to the Cheers Bar and walked the Freeedom Trail all the way to Bunker Hill! It was a really nice couple of days there. Obviously it was without the little ones.

In response to Garry's post about livin' in Arkansas, I told you all that I can't control him, just contain him to a point !

Laurie, we have used DU for 2 of the 3 cruises we have gone on. I absolutely LOVE them! We have been working with Donna there and she is WONDERFUL!!!!!!!!!! She gets back to you if you email her with in hours! Let me know when you are ready to book because I might have a few people interested in going and maybe everyone can get a group rate. All I know is that if you book throught them and 7 other families book throught them they sent a gift to your stateroom!

Lori, are you guys thinking about the reunion cruise? It wouldn't be the same without running into Ben all the time! He is on our video several times!

DARREN, DARREN Where are you???? WE NEED AN UPDATE!!!!!!! We also need your hotmail email address to keep in contact with you while you are on the boat! Also, can we send you regular mail to you on the boat? I have all sorts of questions that you need to answer before you go!

Sandy, we like the late seating because you don't feel rushed when eating and you don't feel like you are cutting your day short to get ready for it. It really worked out well. The dudettes ate at the late seating too! I have the pictures to prove it! LOL
I figured that for all of us to get Darren as our server we would probably have to split into the two different dinner times.

Jeanne, what dinner time are you and Joyce gonna request? How's the snow? We got a good 12 to 18 inches here. Did your daughter get her car dug out? Just be safe!!!!!!!!

Susan, glad to see that you had a great time the weekend! I saw in the weather map that his nor-easter was swinging down to that neck of the woods and I was hoping that it would hold off until you got back home.

Denine, glad to hear that all went well Sunday! I'm so glad that the weather held out for you! I can't wait to see pictures! We will ahve to get together real soon so we can look at them! I miss you guys!

Drove my son to the Police Academy at 6:00 AM & it was snowing AGAIN! I needed my car. Poor Dodger Dog had no dog food so I went to Shoprite & now everyone is happy

LAURIE: Joyce & I booked the cruise through DU this time but we used them last December for a trip to WDW because they had the best "specials". We saved $75.00 instantly from DU & an additional $1,600.00 for early booking & got a secret porthole! I requested the second seating but I am going to change it to first since we were falling asleep in our food last year.

LAURIE: I don't mind telling what we are paying at all (maybe Sandy can tell you too) but for Joyce & I it came to $2,085.54 less the $75.00 for a grand total of $2,010.54 ($1,005.27 each) which includes insurance, taxes, port charges, etc. I didn't think this was bad considering some of the last minute cruises are $799.00. This is for a category 10 which is a cheap room but we are getting that "secret" porthole. I think the DU rebate is only good until 2/28/03. You don't have to commit to get a quote & they hold your reservation for a week without any money. P.S. Sandy better not have a better bargain!!!!!!!!!! I will be on & off the board today if you have any other questions.

Sorry, I forgot the other question. I did everything by computer but you do have the option to deal with a "real" person. The quote comes back fast & they answer your questions even via computer very fast. Jeanne

We have used DU 3 times and love them. They do help monitor prices and if it goes down they will automatically adjust your price. I know that for a fact because it happened to us! I had read about a price drop and when I logged on the computer to write DU they already wrote me and told ME of the adjustment. You cannot talk to a person. Just communicate via e-mail. We never had a problem with that either. We are early seating again (as always). We don't like to eat that late. Laurie, our plans are to rent a car at the airport and stay at the Radisson. We are thinking about flying in one day earlier this time to enjoy the hotel. We'll see. Scary thought, instead of enjoying the hotel, how far is it to drive to Sea World? Can you somewhat do it in a day?

I just read the thread one more time to make sure that no one else posted and there was Jeanne threatening me. I paid exactly what Jeanne and Joyce are paying. However, that isn't fair!!! They split the price and we don't.

Another thought, how far away is Universal Studios? Would love to do that one. Can you do it in a day? In California we did but I think it is much more massive in Florida. We did Sea World in California in a day, also.

SANDY: I loved Universal but unless you stay at Hard Rock, Portofino Bay or the other new onsite Hotel, the lines are long. We stayed at Hard Rock & if you show your room key you go to the front of the line! I think you could do both parks in one day but you would be REALLY tired.

Don't think I'm crazy with the two previous identical posts but it kept saying it was too early & I wanted to answer Lauries other question.

Maybe someone knows the answer to this question (I am going to ask Liz, my DU agent). Does any hotel shuttle you from the Airport?

Lori & Sandy- I am all set for tomorrow. I have requested the
time off and plan to leave work at 10:00. Sounds like it will
be pretty easy to find. Would it be ok if I bring Jaymee? We are
starting to get an idea of Bridal gowns so I thought afterwards
we might look through the mall for some ideas.

Denine- Looking forward to seeing Kaleigh's pictures.

I really want to go on the cruise that most of "Our Cruise Family" is going on. I wonder if Patty will change her mind about the dates. Hummmmmmmmm.


I am soooo excited I finally got my craft room totally organized and all my scrapbook stuff ready to go. I have a big box of Disney stuff I can't wait to get into.

By the way, I did 12 pages in my scrapbook this weekend. I can't say that they are good but I can say they are done. My first page was the best of them all. I think I went downhill from there. Maybe I need some pointers from the experts.

Well Glenn is at the airport. Hopefully on his way to Chicago although according to the web site he hasn't left yet. I hope not. I hate to think of him sitting there by himself.
We dug out today, walked the neighborhood a bit. It was great getting an bonus day with him but there goes a vacation day.

Don't worry all I will keep after him to post and talk to you guys! He is a wonderful person.
He met mom but not my son or DIL yet. They had a bit of a medical emergency on Saturday. Fear of preeclampsia...although I thought a little to soon for that. SHe was up all night vomiting and then swollen feet, hands and face. To the ER and all was ok. Was given 2 liters of IV fluids and sent home thank heavens.

Very lonely here. I never thought I would think like that but ...Perditta and I both miss Glenn already. A good sign...we were snowed in together for 4 days and are stilll talking etc... LOL! I think that is a good sign. Right Glenn?

You know Darren did give me his hotmail email but I don't remember what it is! Yes I goofed! Sorry all!

I had a wonderful belated Valentine's day! Baloo is sitting right next to me!!! What a terrific guy! The first in many decades!

I am sitting here buried in about 6 inches of snow. I did make it into work today. I heard it is much worse where I live then in the North. I am still planning on venturing to Denver. Both my girls are out of school because of the snow. They are really wanting to go to Denver to share Lori's birthday.

Barb, I woke up to just a tiny little sparkle of frost on the deck. The streets are completely dry in Littleton.
Bring them along, we'll tease them that their schools are whus's for closing with just 6 inches. LOL See you there! I'll bring my camera for further proof of your existence. Who else want's to come? Maybe I can find an extra picture from the wine party gathering. (I won't dump beer on it either, this is lunch!) That way everyone will be with us.

Where is everyone?
What a day at work...I felt like a ping pong ball being pulled from one class to another because other trainers didn't "feel secure" teaching various things. What will they do when I finally transfer? I told my boss that I get the "Gumby" award for being so flexible! Still no date on the new position...I think the big boss is procrastinating on purpose!

Glad you all finally got to meet Glenn..so to speak. Thank you all for the welcome. He has already heard all about you guys! I wish you all could meet him in person...what a great person!

Dug out...what a mess coming home from work though...I took the rental car back to Phila. this am therefore didn't have a car at the train when I got home! Line for taxis with people not too happy! Thank heavens for good friends. I called and my friend Linda and her husband came and got me! The city is a mess! Streets are clear but the piles of snow and slush! YUK!

Well that's it for tonight...nothing exciting in my life for about the next month...sigh.
