Oh, how awful for Sue. Poor thing, she has been through so much you wonder how she keeps going. I am glad Julie is bringing the baby up so she can see him. Sue is a very remarkable person...always trying to cheer other people up when she is going through more than most of them.

Sandy That's the dog who lost his ability to smell in Landy and the Tramp. I can't remember his name right now.

Happy Birthday to your dad Julie. Don't eat too much cake!

Good grief, Bonnie. You would think I would know that one since Lady and the Tramp is one (of several) of my favorites. Never said that I was smart!

Both Joyce & I had to drive in at 6 AM this morning & now are waiting to drive home at 7:15 PM & it is still snowing!!!!!!!!!! It does look beautiful & really gets you in the spirit. We just wanted some sympathy:( :( :( I guess you know we are not really that busy that's why I am on the computer. I will post a short note when I get home.

I guess I should explain to everybody else so we're not being rude and carrying on our own conversation. Sue is Ken's sister. She has been a diabetic for over 40 years and it has really taken its toll on her. She has had 2 kidney transplants and has just lost her second leg (she had one amputation just over a year ago). She also has bone cancer that was diagnosed about 5 years ago. This woman has never let anything get her down.....she has rallied through everything she has been dealt. Ken talked to her the night before the surgery and said she was her usual self cutting up and making him laugh.

We're afraid of how this amputation is going to affect her. She treasures her independence. She learned to walk with a prostethis when they said she'd spend the rest of her life in a wheelchair even though her right hand and arm are pretty much paralyzed from the cancer therapy. Now, she has lost her independence and fear she will give up the fight. Please keep her in your prayers.

Patty, she is most definitely in our prayers.

Jeanne, you and Joyce are, too. Be careful driving home and check in when you get there so we know you made it safely.

Patty-Sue is in our prayers!!! That is too much for one person to have to go through.

Jeanne! You get to try out your 4WD!!!! Just be very careful!!! Remember 4 WD doesn't help stop the care better in the snow just gets you through it better!

Joyce_ I'm very upset with you!!!! Where are you? I told everyone you said you would post! If you don't read this I will tell you in person on Sunday when we are in the beautiful sunshine, in short sleeves and sandals and suntan lotion. Jealous everyone? Bad Bonnie!!!

Elmo wants to be a chicken, Elmo wants to be a duck......

Home sweet home! Had to stop by the dentist for a x-ray I have been in continueous pain for the last month. Just as I suspected my wisdom tooth needs to come out and they wanted me to get it done tomorrow! The nerve is exposed and they think my face will swell up. All I can picture is having to tie a rag around my head with the knot on the top like on tv! Don't they understand that I have plans for this Christmas season. I am scared of the dentist anyway and this is not what I wanted to hear!

Patty I am so sorry to hear about Sue. She is one in a million.
Is Moms Christmas present that we get to keep Dylan?? Is that what Julie is bringing?? Cool!

Only 13 more days until the Two Towers comes out!!! We loved the Lord of the Rings and I am looking forward to the next one.

Elmo wants to be a chicken, Elmo wants to be a duck......

The drive home was easier. The drive this morning was scary. I did get to use my 4 wheel drive & it was great!:p I don't want to rub this in but next week at this time we will have been at WDW for 6 days. Can't wait!!:Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

No work. Just fun for over a week. Whoopee!:bounce:

Good night all! Toodles:wave: :earsgirl:

Jeanne, where are you? Did you make it home safe??? You said you would check in. I think you should be home by now.

Bonnie, Ted told me to tell you to make sure that you rub in your suntan lotion this time. Although, he said you do look good with a white face. Now aren't you sorry you followed us to the beaches? Come on, you didn't really think that Joyce would post, did you? I think I know her better than you!

Oops, sorry Jeanne. You DID check in while I was typing. Forgot that you had that new 4X4. Shame on you bragging about the sun next week.

Hi All! I had to post because we were on page 2. I hope that Bonnie, Jeanne, Joyce, and Susan in NC are fairing well the snow and ice. I hope that it doesn't put a crimp in the traveling plans. Please be safe Dudettes! Come back with some good stories.

Susan, I hope you are feeling better. I know it has to be hard trying to get better and the weather is not cooperating. Do you have electricity?

Barb and Patty, sorry to hear about Ken's sister. I know what the family is going through because my father is a diabetic and lost most of his left foot due to the illness. He's eyes are really bad due to the illness. It's great to see she has such a positive attitude. That's what I think makes a big difference in where the person will get worse or not. She will be in our thoughts and prayers.

Bonnie and Jeanne, we will miss you on the board.

I'm sure you will check in tomorrow so I will say my official good byes then!

Okay, first off, I really have to get Julie away from the computer.

Patty, sorry to hear about Ken's sister's health problems. We'll be thinking of her.

Darren, you get the prize for best Brittany response. I was splitting a gut over the dancing cow!

Speaking of Elmo...can a birthday cake use the telephone?

Talk to everyone later...gotta go...Julie's looking at more clip art!

Nooooooooooooo, but you can order a cake on the telephone!

Taste great/ less filling.........Does it matter?

Ok it is 2:30 in the morning and Vicadin is no longer controling the pain. Looks like I am going to have to have the tooth pulled before the end of the year. I am so scared. Never had a tooth pulled before.

Did anyone miss me last night? The server was down so I couldn't post, send emails or anything!! I was lost and lonely!

Running late again since I have the all important email to respond to each morning! LOL!

Barb-I am the queen of dental work! 5 root canals, numerous pulled molars. I hate dentists! My dentist calls me a queen with all my crowns!

I hope everyone has a happy health day!

Sue I do hope you are ok down there! Post as soon as you're able.

Laurie-where are you!!!!!!!!

Julie: You are too talented on this computer. You all are lucky if I can type & hit the send button!

Don't want to brag, but soon I will be leaving for my day at the "Spa". A gift certificate from my daughter last year that was getting ready to expire and then tomorrow it's off to Disney. LIFE IS ROUGH!!!!!!!!   Bonnie told you I was a brat!

Poor North Carolina. I will never say I want snow again!

Well I need to start getting ready. Everybody have a great day! Toodles  :earsgirl:
