Hi all. Diana, I'm sorry to hear about your Dad. Prayers heading his way right now.
Bonnie, you can't get sick if you don't have anymore sick days. Silly.
I just finished with a Cub scouts meeting at my house and boy I could use some of that wine, too. Whew.

Laurie, I only have stuck with AOL because I'm cheap and a creature of habit. It works just fine so I haven't felt like switching, and it's basically free. I use an AOL Visa enough to redeem points for free service. It's been free for the past 7+ years. I like that you get 7 screenname/email accounts too. The kids feel pretty cool having their own e-mail, and I have lots of restrictions set on them. So, I can't complain. If I had something else free thru work or something then I'd be happy to switch.

I got my 'Pollyanna' gift purchased today. Teeheehee. This is fun!
OK, I'm off to check homework and get to bed.

Sorry to hear about your dad, Diana. Get well wishes to him from all of us here.

Another typical night on the street. One of the calls was somewhat entertaining though. We had been checking on a condo for some people over the last few weeks because they thought someone was staying there when it was suppose to be vacant. Well, tonight we get a call from the owner saying they thought someone was there now. Sure enough, we get there and here are two greasy guys standing outside by their truck eating cake and ice cream. Where did they get the food? Well, from the woman who had just handed it to them through the broken out window in the door of the condo.

Turns out that she had been staying there uninvited and when we told the owners to change the locks, she just started going through a bedroom window to get in and out. The owners had followed my advice and put on a keyed deadbolt so they couldn't break out the door glass and turn the knob inside. So that brings us to why the guys were standing outside being passed cake and ice cream through the door window... she couldn't open it!

We finally got inside and she was in the bathroom and wouldn't come out. What was she doing? Shooting up with heroin of course. Had to get one more fix before she was carted off to jail. Naturally, she was wanted by the county already for felony larceny charges (she said she was planning on turning herself in tommorow! ). Now she had burglary and drug charges from us. When we were taking out of the condo in cuffs, she asked if we could put the rest of her cake in the fridge. Hmmm...don't think she is going to be finishing it anytime soon.

People will never cease to amaze me!:earseek:

Well, enough of story time. Good night to everyone...talk to you tommorow!

So far so good this morning so I won't have to use that last sick day.

Julie and Garry-glad to hear the smoke and smell has cleared. What a scare. Garry-loved the story. You must see it all. I am amazed when I watch cops. Reading that was just as good.

Sandy-I got the formal pictures. They're great! I wish I was as photgenic as you guys. And Jeanne. We always tease her and tell her she never takes a bad picture.

Lori-Cub Scouts! Are you a Den Mother? You must have the patience of a saint!

Good Morning Sue.

Have a good day all rain/snow mix headed our way. I still have a hard time picturing snow in NM and AZ!

Good morning.

I'm late. I'm late. For a very important date.....ummm, I mean, work! Oh, well. You all know me by now.

Diana - all my thoughts and prayers to your father. My father has cancer, too. I know what you are going through. Glad the bone scan was OK. Please keep us posted. We care!!!

REALLY gotta go now.

Bye!

Good morning all-

Diana, I know how tough it is to have a loved one going through what your dad is going through right now. My mom had cancer as did my grandmother and grandfather. I will keep your dad and you in my prayers.

Garry, you are better than the police stories on tv. You tell it like it is and on tv they can't tell their real feelings. I really admire you as you have a tough job and I think cops, firemen and teachers are underpaid.

Bonnie, you better feel good....it is a holiday. Most of us feel bad afterwards from overeating.

It is really cold here with just a little snow on the ground....enough to make you want to sing "Over the river and through the woods". Did anyone realize that a month from today Christmas will be a memory?

Have a good day! I have to go walk with my husband at the mall now.

Thank you all for your prayers and thoughts. Right now we are taking all the prayers we can get!

He had the most wonderful time on the cruise! He said it was the best vacation he has ever taken! He really wants to do the Western and they were going to next Oct. but of course will try to go sooner now.

He does look healthy and he feels fine. Probably wouldn't have known except he does regular check ups since his colon cancer.

We think we are going to drive to Savannah for Christmas. I HATE driving in the winter! Last year we tried and had to fly at the last minute because Buffalo was closed! Tell me it won't be that bad two years in a row!

Better go, have more shopping to do.

I suppose I could go back and read the umpeen billion pages but..... what is AIM and IM??????? I know I'm so clueless!!!!!!!!!

Good morning all. Lori, are you here yet? Lori, where are you? Hope you get on soon and your Christmas card situation gets cleared up.

Diana, I would hate to drive at Christmas time, also. Especially, there. Boy, does it snow!

Bonnie, sounds like you might be feeling better. Hope so! Sorry that Ted has you so busy wallpapering this morning.

Loved your story, Garry! People are crazy! I really miss hearing my dad's stories. I lost my dad to pancreatic cancer last year.

No new snow today. In fact, I think they said that we are done with it now. I WANT MORE. Wait, I want more AFTER Thanksgiving. Where we are going is very difficult to get to in the snow. At least from my standpoint it is. Now Ted would say that I am just paranoid.

What is everyone doing for Thanksgiving?

Cute Sandy.
Well, pat me on the back folks, I figured out something new today! Had to dust off certain compartments of my brain, but hey, I did it. I finally got our formal 8x10 from shutters onto a photo christmas card. And I did it all from this chair right here. First I kept getting server errors, so I minimized AOL and used MS internet explorer for my browser. Fixed that. Then the photo got cropped wrong when it was inserted into the card. Reuploaded it the right shape, fixed that. Learned all sorts of new things about dpi and data size options for uploading, whew. I deserve a break now.
Laurie, just after I praise AOL to you, I end up ditching it as my browser, but I still use it for my dial-up. I get from page to page SO much faster with Microsoft Internet explorer and it's on the computer anyway, so sometimes I just switch. I don't see peoples IM's in those cases though, so don't take it personally when I seem to be ignoring you. I'm not seeing AOL right now, for instance, just using it to get dialed into the internet with in the first place. (free, you know)
SO, Bonnie, I think Garry's stories are better than Katie's jokes. And since she's all out of jokes anyway, it's a good replacement. Glad you are back to work, Garry:rolleyes:
HO HO HO I'm ready to send my gift!!!!! (I'll wait for the hard copy list , just to be sure!) Should we try to aim the arrival of the gifts for about the same time?
See ya, Lori

Diana: I am so sorry to hear about your dad. Prayers and pixie dust.

Garry: Great story. Too bad it was real!

We are supposed to get 1-3 inches of snow tonight. Yuck! I hate the cold and snow. I want warmth and sunshine.

Kaleigh refuses to go to sleep even though she is tired. She has been up since 9:30AM. It is now almost 1 PM. Everytime I get her to sleep, she wakes up crying. Little does she know that she gets her shots in 1-1/2 hours. Then she will really have something to cry about. She has 5 more minutes to cry in her crib. My back is killing me from holding her. We still don't have a swing or bouncy seat, but we did get the pack-n-play crib last night. Ice cream after the shots. I like your way of thinking Laurie!

Thanks to everyone for the AOL input! I will probably not take advantage of the free year and stay with my current provider. Lori, I too am a creature of habit!!!

Bonnie -- it was fun talking to you last night on IM. Thanks for bearing with the slow typing....

Sandy -- I didn't feel ignored ... I am just glad that Ted was helping you with the scanner.

More later!!!

Way to go, Lori. You are never afraid to tackle something new. That is something I dislike about myself. . . If it doesn't feel comfortable then don't do it. At my age, I am sure that I will never change. Oh well, Ted is always there for me.

Hopefully, I will check in later.

Hi All, well I just heard from my friend Lorenzo who works on the Magic (he was also my server on the cruise) and he seems he has now moved off the rotational dining and is working in Palo! He seems to be enjoying it, this proves what I always knew about him, he is an excellent server!!!

Diana - My thoughts and prayers also go out to you, I'm so sorry to hear about your dad.

Well I'm very happy tonight, It's the end of my working week and I now have 2 days off, yeah!

Diana-At least your dad is feeling good. I am glad that they are going to take another cruise earlier cause you never know. Hey he may get 2 cruises this year!!!! Keeping up the prayers.
AIM is instant messaging. You can download it for free from the link I posted. You type messages instantly back & forth. It saves on the phone bill.

Well, pat me on the back folks, I figured out something new today!
Lori-You go girl!!!!!!!!

HO HO HO I'm ready to send my gift!!!!! (I'll wait for the hard copy list , just to be sure!) Should we try to aim the arrival of the gifts for about the same time?
Wait till the Dudettes get back WDW!

The board is S---L---O---W tonight. Had a hard time getting in.

I guess things will be getting a little quieter this week with some of you traveling for the Thanksgiving holiday. I'll be here. I'll check in periodically. I only have Thursday off from work.

We just got back from dropping Turner off at my Mom's house. Since he is out of school he is going to spend a few days with Grandma. We'll all be together at my brother's house on Thursday.

Hope everyone has a great Thanksgiving.

I will check in Thursday before we leave for my son's house then I won't get to post until Fri evening. My mom and I are staying over and a buch of us are going outlet shopping on Friday in Lancaster PA. Are we nuts!!!!!!!!!!!

Where's Mom and Barb ? I see mom checked in this morning. I guess they're decorating for Christmas!

Awfully quiet here tonight.

Off to bed soon so good night all! As Darren says "Sweet Disney Dreams"

What happened?????? I was the last one to post last night and then the first this morning???? And it isn't even a weekend.

Well nothing new between last night and this morning. I slept. That's all folks!!!

Have a good day and a Happy Thanksgiving if you won't be back til Fri.
