Roland Smith

The author Roland Smith came to our school today, which is cool because he's pretty famous. It was actually really cool to hear him talk. He's a big animal person and he used to work rescuing different animals- sea otters after oil spills, red wolves, and gray wolves. It was cool to hear about the inspiration for his books and about how he writes them.

Have any of you heard of Roland Smith or read any of his books? (I haven't )

We had a local author come in when I was in elementary school. Dan Gutman. He wrote Babe and Me. That was a pretty popular book, I don't know if anyone read it here. I didn't, but I was never into sports books when I was younger.
